JOB TITLE: BUSINESS UNIT HR MANAGER

A. Key Purpose Of The Job
1. To develop, ensure and implement all HR strategies, practices and processes in the business unit and provide strategic direction on IR matters
B. Profile Of The Job Holder
1. Hands on experience of over 15 years in HR and IR
2. Bachelors degree in any discipline with a post graduation in HR / personnel / labour studies
C. Key Responsibilities
Be a key member of recruiting, competency mapping, performance management and training teams
Manage employee relations in the location.
Identify high potential employees in BU/location, develop career plans for them in line with INSPIRE / talent management process and ensure roll out/deployment of the development plans as per the identified development plan.
Ensure that there is a strong and regular communications at BU/location level and that employees are kept abreast of the happenings.
Undertake benchmarking of key HR best practices followed at the location / in industry.
Ensure smooth implementation of the performance management system for all BU/location employees.
Manage the Reward & Recognition process for BU/location.
Ensure overall deployment of WCA for the BU/ location conduct the WCA survey, communicate the results and implement the identified action plans.
Manage the HR department budget of BU/location and ensure that the overall costs are within the business plan.
Ensure regular skills gap analysis is conducted and development needs are identified for all management cadre employees in the assigned BU through performance management system and competency mapping process
Undertake manpower planning, sourcing and recruitment for assigned BU/location.
Develop strategies and plans to manage the locational workmens union and to provide guidance to all other plants on all IR and legal matters.
