Support the HR Director-India with HR Generalist (Business Partner) responsibilities at a managerial level with additional responsibilities as required.

Reports to: HR Director

Located in: Bangalore, India

The job holder will be responsible for the following areas of the HR function for India Operations.

- Consult with line management providing HR guidance when appropriate. Provides HR Policy guidance and interpretation.

- Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.

- Manage and resolve employee relations issues and conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations.

- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal and employment law requirements related to day-to-day management of employees

- Actively look out for opportunities to reduce legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with legal department as needed/required.

- Provides day to day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).

- Employee Engagement : Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention by way of initiatives like quarterly focus groups, regular feedback/interactions with staff and keeping management informed of staff sentiments/concerns/challenges, participation/organizing & managing motivational initiatives through committees, exit interviews etc.

- May assist international employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters.

- Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, succession planning.

- Facilitate to identify training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs. Facilitate, coordinate, Track and Manage Inductions and Talent Management activities. Facilitate and Participate in evaluation and monitoring of success of training programs. Follow-up to ensure training objectives are met.

- Facilitates and helps drive Compensation Benchmarking exercise and practices in India in liaison with the C&B CoE

- Take charge in the absence of HR Director.

- HR Operations: Reporting, Coordination and Administrative tasks e.g. ongoing Reporting and managing employee data on HR systems for the entity responsible for - this would involve filling and managing forms and other coordination and administrative tasks, managing and ensuring Payroll accuracy etc.

- MBA - HR or equivalent

- Minimum of 8 - 10 years of HR or related experience

- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including HR Operations, Compensation & Benefits practices, employee relations, diversity, performance management, employment laws.

Relevant industry experience will be a plus.
