Assignment Details :

Position Summary :

The Consultant, Human Resources is responsible for supporting the HR team by maintaining various HR related processes for all locations across the nation. He/she will support with attracting highly mission driven, competent and diverse talent, to meet hiring needs. This position will also support other HR Initiatives at Teach For India.

Team Overview :

- The Human Resource Team fuels the growth and success of Teach For India by fostering exceptional, diverse talent for non-teaching Staff positions.

- It is responsible for hiring, orienting, developing, and engaging the best talent pool. The HR team is the driving force of the culture and core values within Teach For India, to create a high performing organization that provides great leadership opportunities.

- The HR team is committed to building Staff members as leaders of the future to fight for educational equity and to establish Teach For India as a career organization.

Responsibilities :

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to :

- Build a strong pipeline of talent through various channels like social media, alumni networks etc.

- Build a strong database of hiring channels for staff and internship positions

- Develop and maintain effective relationships with employment agencies, universities and other recruitment sources

- Prepare and maintain contracts and other documentation for new hires

- Assist in creation of role specific Job Descriptions and Interview Guides

- Update and maintain personnel records and all HR MIS

- Update and maintain the HR intranet portal

- Support with the exit formalities

- Assist with visa formalities for newcomers / Fellows from other countries

- Support HR team in any other HR initiatives at the central and city level

Skills Required :

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

- Excellent Communication skills

- Ability to Multi task

- Attention to Detail

- Database management skills

- Proficient with MS Office- Excel, Word and Powerpoint

- Knowledge of/ interest in using social media like LinkedIn for hiring

- Strong on integrity, humility and empathy

- Respect for organizational timelines and ability to drive stakeholders to adhere to the same

Education and Experience :

- 1+ years of work experience

- Graduate/Post Graduate degree in any discipline
