Head – Market Research

Job description

The Head, Market Research & Intelligence leads the market research function for Housing.com services and related entities. The role is twofold: Provide regularly scheduled primary studies and secondary research to assess customer experience and expectations overtime against performance as well as competitors; develop and deliver relevant market insights to management throughout the enterprise to provide directional advice to address company and market challenges and opportunities. The Head, Market Research and Insights will set up a team of research and analytics professionals and serve as coach and mentor to the Research organization in transforming it into an action-oriented Research operation.

Essential Responsibilities:

- Oversees development and execution of annual and ad hoc market research projects to drive or address business challenges and opportunities, i.e. brand tracking study, consumer/employer/producer satisfaction studies/Competency Mapping.

- Delivers to management proactive market insights, customer and competitor intelligence, analysis and recommendations to ensure that all levels of Housing.com Services are fully informed about environmental trends, market threats and business opportunities.

- Consults with business leaders from throughout the business to understand and shape primary and secondary market research to address their business questions.

- Functions in a leadership role by contributing to the development of strategic business and marketing plans for Services and the care delivery arm of Housing.com.

- Insures that all of the corporation's information resources are effectively leveraged to make a maximum contribution to the corporate market position.

- Interprets primary and secondary research into actionable insights to drive strategic decision making and business performance, i.e. take advantage of market opportunities, correct market deficiencies and predict future market behavior.

- Dealing with Government bodies.

- Other duties as assigned or requested.

Desired Skills and Experience

Minimum Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in marketing or business administration with coursework in marketing, psychology, social sciences, mathematics and statistics.

- 5-8 years experience in market research and insights, competitive intelligence/analysis, and information management activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master's degree in applied market research or marketing

- Experience working in a healthcare market research organization

- Market Research certification (Marketing Research Association)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

- Basic working knowledge of statistics as applied to market research analyses
