Honeywell - Product Marketing Manager (8-12 yrs)

At Honeywell, the product manager owns a product(s) end-to-end and is accountable for product revenue and profitability. The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for leading, managing and directing all of the product marketing related activities within their business and/or product(s).

The successful candidate will work closely with Application Engineers, APAC Product management team, India/APAC RD&E teams, ECC India Strategic Marketing Leader, Field Sales organization, channel partners and management team to maximize the growth, development and return on investment of the organization’s product portfolio today and in the future. Bottom line, the PMM will own the product plans, strategy and profitability.

Specifically, he/she must:

Products Management

- Understand the statutory regulations for WD in India

- Understand and manage products life cycles, profitability, demand planning , NPI ideation and process management, competitive offerings

- Direct and maintain competitive product portfolio that deliver more value than next best alternative

- Develop recommendations on NPIs/De-frilling/Localization. Promote ECC India & APAC-wide innovation & cooperation

- Manage and excel in Global NPI launches in India

- Use structured processes to manage financial results

Customer Relationship Management

- Communicate the value of the offering in customer centric terms to cause customer to choose Honeywell offerings based on value delivered

- Provide link between technology/product lines and customers. Lead value added product, customization and configuration support. Collaborate with HTS India team for engineering support

- Communicate with sales team on product & competitive tactics

- Prepare sales tools like vertical and segment-specific collaterals, Sales playbooks etc.

- Support modification, update and ongoing maintenance of CRM tool and the marketing database

Channel and Brand Management

- Excellent job of managing Distributors/channels with positive results for business

- Clearly demonstrate support for the channel with real programs and value delivered to channel members

- Participate in exhibitions, Trade shows, technical write up in magazines etc

Strategy & Planning

- Promote strong market orientation and influence strategy formulation and investment decisions

- Conduct Competitive analysis for product line, in coordination with APAC/global marketing teams. Map product strength & weaknesses. Do cross-reference product comparison

Value Management/Value Pricing

- Design VOC; understand segmentation; understand value elements critical to customers; calculate value equations; target value propositions to customer segments

- Develop dynamic pricing strategies based on value delivered relative to customer’s next best alternative; Promote use of value pricing

- Lead change management around pricing management; Drive significant financial results

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in related technical or business field and an MBA, preferably in Marketing

- Should have a strong domain knowledge of the WD field

- 8-12 years experience of relevant experience in technical products, preferably those used in the low voltage electrical products

- 3 years experience as a product marketing manager, including responsibilities for new products requirements, pricing and promotion
