Home Credit - Vice President - Legal - LLB/CS

Summary:

Incumbent Personally, and through a team of experienced legal advisors, to ensure that the new full-fledged new entities shall be at all time in full compliance with prevailing Indian legal and regulatory requirements during the process of both establishing and post launch operations.

Job Responsibilities:

- Handling legal, regulatory bodies like RBI, SEBI, Stock Exchange and compliance matters for Indian Business independently and in cooperation with relevant GR functions.

- Structuring, negotiating & finalizing all kinds of business/commercial contracts and amendments thereto in line with the strategies of the new entities foreseeing.

- Drafting, agreeing with business and all stake holders, implementing all legal/regulatory materials (electronic, paper, scripts, etc) related to touch points with potential and existing customers of the PPF group.

- Anticipating & mitigating compliance and operational risks

- Implementing standardization of contracts & processes.

- Advice management with respect to legal issues related to the development and implementation of its business strategy, governance and compliance policies, employment law matters, conflict of interest policies, corporate structure.

- Providing complete legal support to the special Projects of new entities development, involving handling - Unusual Events-, legal opinions, responses to statutory notices, cases of frauds, FEMA issues and other statutory compliance etc.

- Act as legal partner for all strategy, planning needs for banking/financial business which enhances quality of critical business decisions.

- Handling Corporate Legal Affairs, Contracts, Advisory Services & Litigation with exceptional communication and relationship management skill

- Facilitating and enabling fast and adequate responses to RBI queries regarding the license process (in-principal approval, final license, specialized authorities approvals, etc)

- Leading of the work stream aiming to carry out preoperational tasks thereto and establishment of the WOS following in-principal approval from RBI

Desired Profile:

- 8 to 12 years experience in Legal & Compliance role, especially in Banks or financial services.

- LLB and CS is must

- The ability to understand a business requirement and translate it into a clear and articulate creative solution

- Ability to create and execute customer centric solution in line with business plan

- Enthusiasm and drive to - make things happen- in an innovative and engaging way.

- A keen analyst with proven abilities in liaising with government departments, regulatory authorities and external agencies including ROC, RBI, SEBI, Stock Exchanges, Banks, Financial Institutions, etc

- Capability to conceive appropriate legal strategies keeping in view the business needs and market realities in which the corporates are operating

- Should have managed a team of 6-7 people.

- The job requires superior confidence in knowledge of Indian legislation and regulatory environment specific to BFSI Sector combined with extreme high importance of applying best customer experience approach to every aspect of day work.
