Summary of the job :
- To supervise the Training unit, define overall process strategy, ensure consistent delivery of results, drive process improvement initiatives. Management of overall business operations & coordinate with various departments and teams to ensure delivery of business goals.
Job Responsibilities :
- Implement & monitor the overall business strategy for Training unit.
- Define KPIs, mentor Managers and Assistant managers, manage performance and conduct periodic reviews of team to share feedback and focus on performance improvement.
- Define the People Strategy including learning and development, career progression, internal movement & employee engagement initiatives aimed at reducing attrition.
- Target setting and monitoring performance through daily, weekly reviews to ensure target achievement
- Liasion with support functions to improve team performance.
- Conduct daily briefings to keep the team abreast to process changes and advancement, keep them oriented towards target achievement and resolve concerns (if any)
- Identifying training and development needs within an organisation through job analysis, appraisal schemes and regular consultation with business managers and human resources departments
- Designing and expanding training and development programmes based on the needs of the organisation and the individual
- Working in a team to produce programmes that are satisfactory to all relevant parties in an organisation,
- Developing effective induction programmes
- Producing training materials for in-house courses
- Managing the delivery of training and development programmes
- Monitoring and reviewing the progress of trainees through questionnaires and discussions with managers;
- Ensuring that statutory training requirements are met
- Evaluating training and development programmes
- Amending and revising programmes as necessary, in order to adapt to changes occurring in the work environment
- Keeping up to date with developments in training by involvement with other departments
- Implement of e-learning techniques.
- Provide logistical support, course development, delivery, evaluation, process measurements, and cost management.
Desired Profile :
Educational Qualifications :
- Master's degree in any discipline
Knowledge / Experience :
- Expertise in supervising training and development team in overall of minimum 7 years
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel - macros, formulas, VBA; PowerPoint, Word)
- Excellent Communication and presentation skills
- Numerically and grammatically accurate
