Salary offered: 6 - 8 LPA  Designation: Manager - Purchases  Job Role:   The Manager - Purchases is responsible for Sourcing & procurement, vendor relationship and materials management. Based in Mumbai, reporting will be to the Chief Supply Chain Officer.  Job Responsibility:  - Procurement of all materials - Raw, Packaging.  - Price negotiation for key input raw materials & packaging material to ensure lowest possible costs.  - Compile and analyze data on demand-supply of commodities, Government policies/ taxes, price trends and market forecasts for Raw material.  - Documentation, process control and legal compliance as applicable.   - Identifying and analyzing risks associated with raw material procurement (Price, Volume, etc.) and designing strategies to mitigate the same.  - Explore & implement cost reduction opportunities like Strategic sourcing, Contract negotiation, opportunity buying, alternate vendor development, material substitution, etc.  - Conduct the monthly Sales & Operations meeting to provide integration between Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing and Logistics.  - Commodity Market analysis & developing procurement strategies.  - Identifying and developing potential vendors/ suppliers for achieving cost effective purchases of raw materials; achieving reduction in prices and timely delivery.  - Following up with clearing agent along with developing the vendors.  - Nominating the supplier after considering their quality, delivery terms, market goodwill and the price.  - Developing the suppliers and evaluating the performance assessment, auditing selection and rating.  - Implementing the materials policies. (Procurement, Receiving, storing, issuing, Accounting).  - Ensuring optimum inventory levels for achieving cost savings without hampering the project operations and preparing reports for the same.  - Implementing monthly strategies for purchase of materials as per orders.  - Implementing systems for meeting different quality standards for maintaining the relevant documents; planning strategies, transport management and follow-ups with the vendors.  Essential Skills Required:  - A competent decision-maker with the ability to develop, own and build a strategic plan for ensuring the best tie ups.  - Effective communication skills.  - Identifies builds and uses a wide network of contacts with people at all levels, internally and externally.   - Self motivated.  Desired Educational Qualification and Experience:  - Graduate and MBA in supply chain/ diploma in material management from a good B-school with 5+ years of experience in procurement/supply chain role in FMCG industry.  - 3-4 years of experience as purchase manager in F & B industry.
