Position Description  The broad objectives of this position are:  1. To supervise and manage the commercial operations (mainly warehousing and logistics) of the businesses and ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and guidelines.  2. This includes managing functions like warehousing, distribution, logistics, associated compliances, freight & warehousing cost management in each businesses and bring in best in class industry practices. Accountabilities  Job Summary  Business Support - Setting up warehouses/depots/branches to increase distribution reach  Primary and Secondary distribution and logistics for each businesses  Warehousing Logistics, & distribution policies and procedures and their compliance  Lead the performance management processes for the VKL group's Supply Chain including evaluation of the warehousing and logistics plan   Provide meaningful and accurate functional cost information to the VKL businesses and inter-company customers based on a thorough understanding of cost drivers  Provide decision support to manufacturing and commercial business partners in evaluating the Supply Chain cost implications of new product development and other commercial changes  Identify opportunities to improve logistics, warehousing efficiency and working capital performance through insightful performance analysis   Work closely with the CFO to deliver Supply Chain priorities: people development, Internal Financial Controls, and Cost controls   Negotiating C&FA and primary and secondary transport terms  Planning branch/CFA/factory logistics and warehousing needs;   Audit depots, C&FA locations, warehouses for compliance of procedures and condition of stocks as per annual plan  Laisoning for primary transport issues (eg: transit damages, etc), Insurance Claims,   Reconciliation of warehousing & Logistics related liabilities and expenses with vendors
