Silverpeople is retained by a global leader in the online broking domain, with turnover in excess of 4000 crores to find a leadership talent to increase their presence in the digital space. We are looking for someone who has a penchant for digital/online industry and has an entrepreneurial spirit, has a problem solving mind and someone who is capable of leading the best . This is a VP level role and will be required to lead a team of best brains in the industry.

The role entails significant business exposure across diverse areas, 360 degree P&L Leadership role, and an opportunity to associate with the global leader and exposure to global best practices.

Job Purpose :

As the Head of online business, you will have responsibility for developing, driving and implementing eCommerce strategy to maximize sales, with a relentless emphasis on customer acquisition, conversions and maximizing revenues.

We need an experienced and driven individual who wants to join us to own and drive the eCommerce strategy. You will have the drive, pace and desire to make a significant impact on our overall e-commerce position and the growth of our business.

Responsibilities :

- Develop, own, drive and implement the overall e-commerce strategy and roadmap to ensure revenue growth through increased customer acquisition and conversions. Be responsible for overall website performance and online trading. To collaborate with the cross functional partners on continuous improvements to the public website and digital systems to optimize new customer acquisition, sales and brand experience

- Own and drive the top line online sales number and assess and implement commercial/sales opportunities to maximize online revenue and profitability

- Lead the development and execution of strategic and tactical business plans supporting the eCommerce strategy

- Serve as a liaison and primary point of contact within the eCommerce organization for cross functional partners acting as a project manager to evaluate, prioritize, develop, manage, implement and test eCommerce initiatives

- Motivate and manage a team of online commercially focused experts to deliver maximum online sales and profitability

Specifications/Qualifications :

- Credible and extensive experience of 10+ yrs leading eCommerce and digital marketing in a commercial environment

- Commercially astute with a proven track record of growing online sales in a large multi-channel organisation

- Confident, enthusiastic and strategic with strong leadership and influencing skills, able to work collaboratively across the business, and to engage internal and external stakeholders

- Broad understanding of multiple eCommerce skill sets including, SEM, e-mail, re-targeting, affiliate programmes, SEO, CRM

- An up-to-date understanding of eCommerce trends and the latest online sales tactics/best practice

- Whilst able to think strategically, able to engage on an operational level with a - can-do- approach.

- Relish a trading and operational environment

- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to make sense of complex data

- Ambitious and able to drive through change

- Enthusiastic, creative and motivating; able to provide support and encouragement to colleagues and senior manager with varying levels of skills
