Head - Talent Management/L&D/Employee Engagement - Media (8-13 yrs)
Position Summary: The key purpose of this role is to:
- Formulate Talent Strategy for the Organization to attract, develop & retain right talent with special focus on high potential employees & critical roles
- Create Learning & Development Framework to enhance the overall capability and productivity of employees
- Frame a strong employee engagement platform and tools to measure engagement levels of employees
Job Responsibility:
Talent Management:
- Articulate Talent Strategy for the Organization based on Organizational strategy, HR Vision & Goals and HR strategy
- Develop a strong talent management process to realize the Talent strategy to attract, develop and retain right talent
- Put in place a Competency Framework in line with the needs of the Organization
- Communicate, cascade and ensure that Competency Framework is embedded in every process of talent management and talent acquisition
- Create tools, techniques and assessment methods to measure employee competencies and organizational talent pool including hi potential assessment and critical role evaluation
- Chart out employee career path for individual roles to ensure employees see a clear growth & career path within the organization
- Create succession planning framework and techniques to ensure manning of critical roles & career management of high potential employees
- Develop training program for 'Train the Trainer' to build internal team capability for delivering on Talent Strategy
Learning & Development:
- Conceptualize Learning & Development Framework for the organization in line with HR strategy
- Create detailed process for development and deployment of L & D initiatives
- Develop and deploy tools for capturing L & D needs of employees; consolidate learning needs for the organization
- Plan and design L & D initiatives based on needs assessments carried out; deploy L & D initiatives via HR team and audit the initiatives to ensure compliance
- Develop internal team capability by 'train the trainer' initiatives to deploy L & D framework
- Identify training needs and own & deliver learning interventions for senior management
- Negotiate and coordinate with External L & D partners for developing, implementing & capability development of Learning initiatives (specialized trainings)
- Audit & review deployment of learning initiatives across the Organization
- Measure and enhance Return on investment on Learning & development
Employee Engagement:
- Frame a strong employee engagement strategy and platform to improve engagement levels of employees
- Design & implement employee engagement initiatives based on engagement strategy
- Create employee engagement measurement tools (Employee Engagement Survey & Dipsticks) internally or externally as approved by management
- Negotiate & coordinate with external partners for developing Employee Engagement Survey
- Own the roll out of Employee Engagement survey, maintaining transparency and confidentiality
- Analyze Employee Engagement survey results and cascade to business teams/ line managers for action planning
- Conduct Org level action planning exercise based on Employee Engagement Survey results and communicate actions to organization
Job Specification:
Education Qualification: Preferably MBA/ Post Graduate in HR. L&D certified professional preferred from Top MBA institutes only
Work Experience: 8 - 10 years of relevant experience
Preferred Industry: Media - News (could also look at high performers from other sectors like Media Agencies, FMCG, Technology, Retail, Telecom, Consulting)
- Should have experience in hr consulting for atleast 4 years either in current role or in past
