Role Name : SBU Head - Strategy & Planning

Reporting : Manager

Role Type : Senior Management

Role Purpose : Build and fortify a strong business model by going in depth and understanding where opportunities are and chasing them with innovative ideas

BSC perspective Key Responsibilities :

Finance :

- Responsible for achieving overall sales & revenue targets for the SBU

- Collaborate with category & finance team to achieve desired category level margin targets

- Work with Category & Operations team to achieve desired level of fulfillment - Min 98%

- Inventory planning based on demand & supply

Customer :

- Uncompromising Customer Centric Approach

- Build and fortify a strong business model by going in depth and understanding where opportunities are and chasing them with innovative ideas

- Study industry trends and bring out insights to drive differentiation and response to counter competitive moves

Internal Business Process :

- Review return on investment and sales sensitivity curves, provide inputs for business planning to relevant stakeholders, monitor progress against plans and work with sales, marketing and finance teams to recommend changes to plan, if required

- Partner with category and function (SCM, retail, finance) teams to proactively identify, develop and drive strategies and initiative

- Sensing the market to stay on top of trends in an ever-changing ecosystem and finding opportunities and prioritize based on size, internal capabilities, etc

People/ Learning & Growth :

- A team leader with excellent communication skills both verbal & written, presentation capabilities.

- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations and product teams to plan new strategies towards attracting traffic, balance listings and to launch new product features keeping user needs and user experience as top priorities.

- Proven experience to lead and manage teams

- Good with numbers & analytical abilities

- Absolute insights on competition landscape

Academics and Experience :

Qualification : MBA - Marketing (Premier Business School)

Work Experience : 10 - 15 years experience, at least 4 - 5 in strategy & planning

Must have worked as Category/Strategy/Operational head

Prior experience with large eCommerce companies will be big advantage (Myntra, Jabong, Flipkart, Snapdeal, Amazon etc)
