Head - Sourcing - Retail

Head Sourcing for a Retail Company into Sports and Outdoor products.

- Manage Fabric, trims, & specialized goods souring for products in Outdoor/Sports apparel, footwear, luggage etc

- Responsible for Vendor Development, Planning and Management at domestic as well as international level.

- Assortment Planning and Management

- Pricing & Order Schedule Management

- Material roadmap development in sync with R&D teams

- Setting up of quality checks & standards for the business.

- Strategize and roll out merchandise and sourcing strategies

Competition Analysis

- Partner with planning to drive sales and gross margin of key items and key vendors.

- New Product Launch

- Budgeting & Pricing

- Vendor Development & Negotiations on a long term basis.

- Vendor Performance Tracking and sustainability.

- Planning & Budgeting across Products/Categories.

- Source & Track new trends/categories

- Assortment Planning based on seasonality.

Qualification and Experience

- Minimum Graduate in any discipline. A post graduate management degree will be preferable.

- The desired candidate should have 10+ yrs of experience (with atleast 5-6yrs relevant) of Sourcing and Merchandising in large sports/apparel companies.
