Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and envision future improvements to the architecture.  Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development.BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.  Project Management Responsibilities  The project manager within group of companies oversees delivery of large, complex technology programs. Typically, these large-scale efforts comprise parallel projects and cover software development, IT infrastructure systems installation, business process engineering of organization's functional capabilities. During the program life cycle, the technology program manager is responsible for planning, management, financial management and governance of the program. Stakeholder Management, Vendor Management is part of Project Implementation . Keep a track of Progress of all Projects and report the development and deliverables to Management  Core Responsibilities  1. Planning: Development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure the creation of development road map for the unit.  2. Problem Solving: Must have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to think quickly and adeptly about how to address problems as they come up and to learn from the issues so that the same problems do not arise again.  3. Interpersonal Skills: Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Being comfortable with managing people will make the job much more effective.  4. Multi-Tasking: Because the program manager has to keep track of so many different things at once, it is important to be able to multi-task. The program manager will have to track spending, adjust budgets, hire and review employees, look for gaps in work efficiency, communicate within team and suggest changes in the plan all in the same day! This requires an ability to switch quickly between tasks and to think about the project on many different levels at once. Having an understanding of cost implication and accounting will be added advantage.  5. This is a strategic role where the incumbent is required to think through and help achieve the objectives. The Head of Software Development:  a. Will be responsible for overall implementation, support and future state.  b. Will work closely with Business and understand the challenges of the given function and suggest the area of improvement.  c. Should have been hands on experience of at least two large end-to-end technology change implementation cycles.  d. Works closely with other peer teams and ensure smooth integration.  e. Should have strong management skills to guide the technical and business team through implementation process as well as ensure the uptime of the application  Qualifications & Experience:  - B.S/M.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technical discipline  - Experience: At least 14 years of experience as a software development manager leading at least 20 member development teams and collaborating with other remote teams.  - Experience working in an Agile development environment.  - Experience with Cloud-based services and APIs, Web-based applications and related technologies including HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, Java, REST web services and Oracle databases.  - Experience with micro-service architectures and software containers.  - Should have proven experience in Travel, Telecom or B2B2C technology products and services with geographically distributed teams in multi-vendor environments.  - Ability to maneuver within matrixed organizations and work with Senior Technology and Business Leadership Teams at the same time.  - Lead the project engineering teams in all aspects of ongoing enterprise software development to ensure timely delivery of commitments.  - Manage competing priorities with limited resources.  - Delivers informative, well-organized presentations.
