What you'll do

As the Head of Search Engine Strategy at Our Client, you will have the opportunity to own and manage Our Client's online paid acquisition strategy and catalyze Our Client's transformation towards becoming a household consumer Internet and hotel brand in India. Keeping with the spirit of constantly challenging the status quo, the key areas of focus for this role will include:

- Driving programmatic media buying, marketing and advertising

- Planning & execution of paid search campaigns across all mobile and web search platforms

- Setting up & running paid search acquisition campaigns across geographies

- Owning the budget and daily reporting and bid & budget optimization to improve the ROI of campaigns

- Leading initiatives for continued testing and benchmarking- A/B test landing pages, ad copy testing and implementing right copy/ landing pages for search engine marketing and other PPC campaigns

- Building a repository of knowledge on the latest and best paid search practices and strategies

- Strategic and tactical bid management for revenue optimizations

- Research and analyze competitor activities to drive the campaign performance

- Owning delivery of new user/online traffic targets from Paid Search from an existing high baseline to meet targets that double every six months

- Control and management of an annual Paid Marketing budget similar to some of the top FMCG and e-commerce brands in India

About you:

- At least 3 and ideally 5 years of experience in building and managing dedicated paid search performance marketing for consumer focused businesses, preferably in the mobile-internet ecosystem, in fast changing markets

- 2-3 years of hands-on experience on Google Adwords & Editor

- Good understanding of online media buying platforms - DSP, SSP, Ad-Exchanges DMP etc.

- Strong relationships with the marketing ecosystem and a deeper understanding of local, national and global consumer trends, especially in tech rich industries/businesses

- Proven interest and expertise in critical and analytical problem solving and keenness + comfort with a fast paced and chaotic workplace

- Great understanding of consumer experience and common sense to build it

- Hustler and can execute under tight deadlines - ability to engage with different stakeholders - central and local teams, vendors and agencies.

- Bias for action and ability to build operational capabilities, processes and tools for the company

- Stellar academic and professional background and excellent analytical and communication skills
