Position Head - Sales and Marketing / Chief Marketing Officer

Location Chennai

Qualification Graduate in Engineering with MBA from Premier Institutes

Experience Above 25 years of Experience in Sales and Marketing including Exports and Branding. Out of which 5 years in Senior Management Position

Reporting President of the Business

Team 5 Direct reports. Department has strength of 200

Purpose of the Job

- To become Technology partner in the Development of new products for the OE customer.

- Grow After Market to become no 1 player across Indian Markets and across the Globe

- Grow Exports to become No 1 player in the world in the two wheeler space

- Brand Management / Positioning in the Indian / Global Markets

- New business wins Customer Acquisitions, Revenue Growth, Profit Margins

- Responsible for increasing share of business

- Responsible for Maintaining overall profitability of each product

Planning

- Preparation of Sales / Marketing business plans, forecasts and monitoring the budget vs actuals - preparation of action plan to meet the targets.

- Initiatives to reach new markets

- Conducting periodic performance reviews & meetings with OE / After Market / Export team(s) to ensure profitability and business growth.

- After Market strategic plan to enhance the market share and sustain

- Sales strategy, MIS, Market data & analysis,

Customer service & Sales

- Ensuring Target revenues as per Business Plan targets

- Initiatives to improve and maintain Schedule adherence at 100%

- Customer relationship management, handling escalations and internal coordination with relevant stakeholders to ensure all ends are closed

- Interacting with customer to understand the future requirements and pass on the inputs to New Products Team

- Ensuring profitability through getting Compensation for raw material & Foreign exchange fluctuations, Engineering Changes and compensation for obsolescence of products due to model changes

New Business Development & Building the Brand

- Initiate Market research & build market intelligence in growth areas

- Market Penetration-Identifying & exploiting additional Business opportunity. Go To Market Strategy.

- Drive volume & market share growth

- Monitoring metrics like RFQ response time, RFQ conversion rate, After Market development time, work with NPD team closely.

- Heading negotiations with the customer on behalf of TSL and securing the new business

- Monitor the promotional business events

- Promote the corporate image and capabilities, brand management, studying emerging and new potential markets.

Brand Management

- Planning and implementing effective Advertising and Sales promotion schemes.

- Ensuring brand availability & display in the market & merchandising, also keeping track of company assets in the market.

- Organizing various marketing activities like campaigns sales blitz, road shows etc and other product promotional activities in association with the distributors / dealers.

- Organizing various marketing activities in association with distributors and workshops to promote our products, especially during new product launches.

Training and motivation

- Monitor and guide Team Leaders / Members- activities.

- Motivation & Professional Development of subordinates

- Ensuring harmonious relationship with employees & high morale in the team
