Head - Sales & Business Development - eCommerce Startup (10-20 yrs)

Title: Sales / Business Development Head

Reporting to: COO

Job Profile:

- Define and develop the long-term strategic goals for Business Development, in line with overall business goals

- Continuous exploration of methods to access the various target groups and work in sync with the Marketing & CRM team to convert them, qualify them for larger sales, cross sell and upsell.

- Work closely with channel partners, vertical heads & team members to ensure that they meet their targets

- Actively manage key relationships with existing and prospective clients

- Ensure vertical heads and teams meet their sales targets, keep them motivated and periodically engage them to ensure that their shortcomings, needs and lacunae's are bridged

Provide overall direction for ongoing revenue-generation initiatives

- Screen potential business deals by analysing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials

- Close new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts, integrating contract requirements with business operations

- Work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the client's needs, concerns, and objectives

- Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships

- Work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs

Qualifications:

- MBA from a reputed institute

- Bachelor Degree in commerce or business, preferred

- Experience in Ecommerce or Furniture & D- cor is a must

- At least 5 years of post-qualification experience

- Excellent Oral and Written communication skills in English and Hindi

Preferences:

- Organizational skills, combined with strategic thinking

- Effective leadership and the ability to motivate others

- Ability to plan and prioritise workloads and delegate accordingly

- Strong focus on customer satisfaction

- Ability to grasp new concepts quickly

- Working knowledge of CRM software

- A thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office
