Company : Rapidly Growing FMCG Conglomerate

- Our client is a leading packaged food company and is among the top 3 brands in baked goods in the North Indian market. Founded in 1982, the company boasts of internationally certified production methods and facilities. Its unparalleled quality and world class innovative products are what has made one of the leading FMCG company.

- They have a diverse client base across sectors including retail, institutional and QSR clients as well as are present internationally with their products being exported to Europe, Africa, Middle East, US and Australia.

- A group of PE funds have recently been acquired by the company that will soon help in expanding the production, making it one of the top national level packaged food players. The company is already among the top 3 in its segment in North India.

As the Sales Head - Breads & Bakery Division, your purpose will be to drive, lead and execute the business goals for Breads and Bakery business for MBFSL and develop strategy, tactics, sales plans and profit targets in accordance with goals.

You will be reporting directly to the MD. The other key responsibilities include :

- Taking complete ownership for the sales volumes, profitability and growth in each segment - consumer products & institutional

- Developing and implementing go-to-market strategy with regards to targets to achieve goals

- Allocating budgets and plan for expanding market and improving market share

- Achieving stability in the consumer products space through volumes and profit margins

- Building new distribution partners and channels, and expanding existing ones to increase market access

- Communicating strategies developed for sales to people in the team in the form of their individual targets and actionable

- Recruiting and developing the right talent in the team to keep the talent pool abreast with the industry

- Training and developing team members capability to ensure high performance

- Setting sales incentives in close cooperation with the HR department to motivate people towards exceeding their goals

- Devising systems and processes to enable each team member to review performance and increase commitment

- Scanning the environment to identify valuable emerging markets

- Maintaining relationships with distributors and channel partners and enabling them to maximize volumes

- Comprehending channel dynamics and ensure success of trade marketing events

- Analyzing sales data to accurately to forecast future sales and forming sales plans to adapt to constant shifts in the marketplace.

- Foreseeing and avoiding challenges and stagnation in the marketplace to grow volumes and profitability.

- Understanding competition and their advantages to remain a top player and maintain and gain rapid market share.

Candidate Profile :

- Background in FMCG sales in both B2B and B2C setups

- 10-15 years of experience in handling regional/national sales for a consumer products organization

- MBA from Tier I and Tier II colleges

- Strong business orientation and commitment to goals

- Demonstrated success in Sales/Business management

- Excellent communication skills

- Knowledge of market and environment in terms of competition, substitutes, threats and opportunities

- Great people development and influencing skills

- Candidates with special courses or certifications in FMCG coverage, infra selling skills and distribution preferred
