Head - Reverse Logistics Operations

The Client :

A Value-added Logistics services provider in Logistics / Supply Chain like reverse logistics, fulfillment services, intracity deliveries etc.

The Role :

Head of Reverse Logistics Operations is a part of the senior management team with end to end ownership and responsible for delivering value in the reverse logistics space with customers across e-commerce, white goods, consumer electronics, apparels etc.

Indicative deliverables :

- Ownership for the customer satisfaction, efficiency and effectiveness of the reverse logistics business.

- Build and scale the network of partners required for the reverse logistics operations across the scope of services

- Review and design robust processes for the reverse logistics business along with ownership for key initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

- People responsibility for the reverse logistics business including, hiring, engaging and training the field teams and other support teams. Ongoing capability building.

- Responsibility for ensuring all the support structure like packaging materials, validation tools etc are available to support the reverse logistics process.

- Bring out side in view / external perspectives on reverse logistics area as an endeavor for continuous improvement.

- Secondary responsibility for bringing in new clients and on boarding new clients into the reverse logistics stream along with the sales function team members.

The Person for the role :

- Logistics professional with about 7 to 12 years of experience in supply chain industry with customer handling experience.

- Experience managing 3 PL vendors / sub contractors

- Good understanding of reverse logistics and field services network is a big plus.

- Good exposure in people and process management with experience in managing a team and setting up and scaling up processes preferred.

- Good understanding of tax regimes applicable to the logistics industry will be a plus.

- Stakeholder management skills with ability to connect with all levels of management.
