About our Client - Our client is a global electronics giant recognized among the most valuable brands world over in their domain of business. They have aggressive growth plans for India and the region, which will be driven by strong PR initiatives and want to become market leaders within the portfolio they cater to. They are looking for a PR Head to engage press across platforms in India.

Job Description - Reporting to the Country Head, the key accountabilities will be:

- Define, develop and drive strategic media relation efforts that contribute to a full and robust pipeline of major stories for company

- Build and foster relationships primarily with members of the tech press and blogsphere in India, and secondarily also with consumer and business press

- Maintain a strong network of relationships with key media organizations: technology, mobile and industry trade press, bloggers, senior editors and journalists

- Work closely with the company's social media team to deliver a unified voice across all channels, coordinating efforts where needed

- Be well-versed on the current media and social media environment as it relates to company's business as well as the mobile and e-commerce industry

- Co-organize company flagship events (for consumers) and press events as needed in key cities across the country

- Own and be accountable for all press engagement metrics

- This includes staying abreast of the competitive landscape and other potential news triggers and being prepared to respond to media inquiries

The Successful Candidate:

- Bachelor's degree in journalism, public relations or communications-related field with 8-10 years of experience working as technology PR.

- Experience in e-commerce / technology / mobile PR will be a plus, ideally with some international experience.

- A strong media relations foundation maintaining a strong network of existing relationships and the ability to foster new relationships with senior editors, journalists and bloggers that cover and closely follow mobile, technology, e-commerce is a must.

- The candidate must be confident and a capable spokesperson with the ability and desire to go deep into technical topics.

- Experience as a tech writer, journalist or blogger would be extremely attractive.

- Strong sense of being proactive and an outgoing, likeable, presentable, humble and naturally capable of easily interacting with others profile will be preferred.
