Head - Product Strategy - Cabling Industry (10-30 yrs)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Market Facing :
- Developing and implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan
- Marketing, Forecasting and owing P&L of the product line
- Create Pricing Strategy for the Product ensuring desired Gross Margins
- Support Product Branding through Catalogue, Blogs, Paper Presentations and other Market communication in coordination with Mar-Com Team
- Conducting Training for Dealers & Distributors, and Create Technical product presentations
- Market Analysis in Competitive Environment
- Study and understand all the competition both global and local and have complete know and understanding of their products, Market and distribution strategy.
- Interface with Operations/Process Engineering/Quality so that all market inputs are translated into Operational Strategy.
- Carry out Win-loss analysis of the Product line.
- Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers.
- Understanding needs of market like approvals etc.and creating execution plans for the same.
Product Engineering :
- Manage the entire Product Life Cycle of the Product and Brand.
- Maintain Product Portfolio & a long Term Technology Road Map
- Study IP landscape and create IP for product Lines
- Product Approval w.r.t Authorities, Customers & International Standard Organization live UL, DNV
- Work closely with Operations to arrive at Make or Buy decision and closely work with Quality and Process Engineering functions for Product Developments.
- Should Design and Develop the BOM for the material to be handed over to the Vendor Development Team
- Hand Hold Internal Training for Sales Team, Quality Team
