The Group (About the Group):
Our client is a mid-size high growth group into training / education & allied businesses - School supplies, Transport, etc.
The group is planning to grow from 500 to 2000+ cr. in next 3 yrs by growing its allied Businesses from captive to open market.
The Organization (About the Client):
30 cr. captive school supplies company with over 1000 SKUs. Planned to grow more than 5 times in 3 yrs.
A seasoned CEO has taken over & is building the team for this venture.
Job Description
To support the growth from captive 50 cr / 1000 SKUs to 300+cr / 3000+ SKUs in next 3 yrs;
Job Responsibilities :
1. Complete accountability for all procurement efforts of the business with the objective to maximise the value obtained from suppliers.
2. Collaborate with the category team to understand market / customer expectation and work closely with the sales and business development team to understand market demand.
3. Devise category specific sourcing strategy.
4. Align procurement to targeted product pricing to meet business goals.
5. Identify and develop suppliers that help meet organizational objectives and create win-win partnerships both nationally and globally.
6. Audit supplier competency
7. Negotiate with vendors to secure savings linked to buying power
8. Develop the risk mitigation plan in the procurement of all key products and supplies.
The Person (Candidate Details) :
Education and Experience
a) MBA preferred
b) 15+ years in procurement preferably in consumer product companies with the third party / contracted manufacturers
c) Candidates having some prior work experience of sourcing from China and other Far Eastern countries with proven track record of delivering savings and creating long term relationship would be preferred.

e) Entrepreneurial with financial acumen
