Salary offered: Minimum 35 LPA  Position Details   Position: Head Powertrain Planning & Technology   Business Unit/Division: Automotive Division  Reports To: Head Product Planning -Automotive Division   Place of Posting: Mumbai   Responsibilities & Key Deliverables :  Power train Planning:   - Provide strategic direction to Initiate and Steer future Powertrains development programs.  - Capturing Customer feedback/ insights post competition/ product launches.   - Define Powertrain deliverables aligning with Global benchmarks (Diesel, Gasoline, and Alternate Fuel & EV) for current & upcoming products.   - Define Powertrain technology road map for Hybrid, Electric and alternate fuels.   - Competitive powertrain portfolio targeting standardization and complexity reduction.   - Evaluate vehicle performance simulation & identify gap to meet final product deliverables  - Continuous Scanning of Global Automotive Technology Trends, identify Gap with power train plans.   - Interaction with R&D houses, identify areas of work on advanced power train requirements for 2020 and beyond.   - Cascading of customer expectations on product attributes like performance feel and drivability to powertrain deliverables.   - Tracking Regulatory/Emission compliance requirements for domestic and International markets.  Initiate powertrain development to meet compliance  Technology Planning:   - Provide strategic direction to initiate and steer Technology Road Map for aggregates, vehicle, and Systems.  - Continuous scanning of Global automotive technologies, trends.   - Identify the Gap in the portfolio and plan interventions at regular intervals.  - Leverage in house knowledge thru interactions with SSU, COE's and consolidate Technology road map.   - Interactions with R&D houses, Research agencies, consulting firms to bring latest updates on auto technologies in the portfolio.   - Technology Scope definition for upcoming Refreshes, New launches considering the product positioning, PALs strategy which keeps at par with upcoming global competition in respective product segments.  Job Requirements   Experience (years): 20 +   Industry Preferred: Automotive OE's, Auto Components, R&D houses etc.  Qualification BE, M tech, Automobile + MBA   Personality Traits Competencies Advance Power train design and development, Engine & vehicle performance development, system design for Hybrid, EV, Strategic Marketing, Pricing, Positioning, competitor's analysis etc.   General Requirements   1) Well versed with automotive technologies.   2) Nurture and maintain a relationship with key influencers and stake holders in the industry.  3) Good Analytical skills, Interpersonal skills, Customer Sensitivity /Relationship Negotiation Skills, Good Team player to work in team with R&D, COEs, SSU, Marketing etc.  4) Be a thought leader in every respect, to take senior management buy in into new developments.  5) A keen follower of market & consumer Insights.  6) Have an overall perspective of personal and commercial portfolio   Functional Competencies / Skills critical for the job   Advance Power train design and development, Engine & vehicle performance development, System design and integration for Hybrid, EV vehicles
