Head - Operations - Logistics Startup

Role and Responsibility :

Drives overall Ops to ensure all partners are delivering against SLAs committed, and working with partners to help them improve

Responsible for 4 areas :

- Supporting implementation team,

- Managing ground ops in key partner locations

- Managing line haul

- Managing call centre

Manages ~30 FTEs, geographically spread out across India

Skills Required :

- Strong understanding of logistics in India, esp e-commerce logistics in a hands-on role, Track record of having managed rampup to higher scale

- People leadership, esp in a distributed environment

- Highly analytical, strong problem solving skills

- Ability to manage on ground operational issues, along with a deep appreciation for technology to solve them

- Ability to define processes and ensure change management

Work Experience : 5 years in e-commerce working on supply chain, and in logistics in particular OR distinctive candidates with ~8-10 years of logistics experience in leading supply chain companies in India (e.g., BlueDart) or FMCG (e.g., HUL, P&G) can also be considered (will need to come across as very technology driven and customer oriented and having setup things from scratch rather than manage an already stable situation)

- 1-2 years of direct technology experience (software development / product role) OR strong management consulting experience with top firms would be a bonus

Education :

- MBA from IIMs/ ISB/ NITIE/ SPJain

- Engineering background from top tier colleges (e.g., IITs, BITS) preferred
