About Our Client :  - WHISHWORKS is a niche IT consulting organisation with focus on Big Data & System Integration space. In the past 3 years our revenue has grown four-fold and we expect to maintain that acceleration.  - We are looking to infuse young blood in leadership and thus are looking for bright individual to join us as Head, Operations and to put shoulder to the wheel of WHISHWORKS- growth and help us achieve new milestones.  - Ideal individual will be MBA graduate from IIMs / ISB / XLRI / S P Jain / MDI from a batch not later than that of 2006 (of course exceptional profiles are always welcome).  - We would prefer someone coming with an open mind-set and willing to take up challenges that come with a rapidly growing organisation.  Role Summary :  - The Head, Operations will be an integral part of the leadership team and will assist the CEO in developing and executing WHISHWORKS strategy and growth plan  - This role will have dual responsibilities of working on strategic projects (either individually or with a small strategy team) and leading the operations department across India, UK, US and Australia  Primary Responsibilities :  Strategic Initiatives :  Work closely with CXOs on strategic projects including new business initiatives and help translate organisational goals into functional operating plans. Projects will include :  - Long term Business Planning and Strategy formulation including Market Scanning, analysis and assessment  - Charting go-to-market strategy in new geographies / Business areas  - Overseeing operations in existing client accounts and identifying cost-effective measure to improve the bottom line  - Ability to handle green-field projects related to operations; especially in new geographies with respect to following local laws, rules and compliances. An example of this can be setting up an operational base in US - including but not limited to identifying right company structure, procedure of registration, right visa options and negotiating with 3rd party vendors, in order to get the unit up and running  Administrative Functions :  As the de-facto head of Operations, Procurement, Legal, Travel and Immigration teams, responsible for day-to-day functioning and strategic growth plan for these departments. The responsibilities will include but not be limited to :  Vendor Management :  - Liaise with Hospitals and Insurance agencies for employee benefits  - Manage Vendors for house keeping, stationery, travel, courier and other allied third party service providers  - General procurement and renewal of annual maintenance contracts.  Inventory Planning and Control :  - Forecast, plan and ensure availability of consumables, stationery, equipments etc. for employees  - Render stocks at appropriate time from vendors  Employee Engagement and Event Management :  - Making arrangements for Office parties, corporate events, client visits  - This will include negotiating with vendors regarding arrangements for food, travel, boarding and lodging etc.  - Working with HR for Initiatives like Rewards and Recognition programme and others   Travel Operations :  - Manage end-to-end fulfillment of travel needs related to business  - Maintaining and handling Employee Transport services  - Supervise Travel and Immigration team for Visa arrangements and travel bookings (hotels, car, air, road and rail etc.)  Office space and Facilities Management :  - Planning office set up and seating arrangements  - Ensuring quality in Housekeeping, Cafeteria, Security services, Company leased accommodations and general administration  - Ensuring hygiene and cleanliness along with maintaining Health & Safety standards in the organization  - Maintenance of the fire safety equipment and systems, keeping records and certificates of compliance  Legal related :   - Supervise Legal Counsel to address business concerns including  - Advising internal teams on various business and operational requirements   - Ensure all Legal, regulatory and compliance processes of the organization are successfully implemented.   - Drafting, Reviewing, redlining and negotiating business contracts   - Reviewing of Vendor, HR, Admin and other generalist contracts, updating of repository   - Execution of contracts, renewals, addendums and amendments to contracts, handle litigation matters both domestic and overseas  Desired Skills, Attributes & Experience :  - With at least 10 years of experience in a general management role overseeing all aspects of business operations and business disciplines. Management Consultants can also apply if they have sufficient exposure to handling such projects being based out of client locations (specially Indian clients)  - A leader with proven competence in managing large teams and belief in leading by example with mature leadership and people management skills across various stakeholders ranging from Board members, - C- suite executives to employees   - Experienced in building teams, empowering team-members and driving toward results and accountability  - Having a strategic mind-set with ability to plan with a long-term vision in mind and a capability to prioritise in an environment of ambiguity and rapid change  - Ability to visualize scaling up of function (operations) and can garner and manage the resources needed to get there  Must Have : MBA from a Tier I B-School
