Job Title: Head - Materials (Filteration Industry)   Reference Code: REQ-1106   Location: Kenya   Required Experience: 12-15 yrs  Job Description:   1. To develop, implement and review all procurement strategies, policies and procedures to provide a best value procurement environment  2. To lead, manage and deliver procurement in order to meet the strategic and operational objectives of the business  3. Negotiation of commercial supplier agreements  4. To strategize and achieve specific post order cost saving measures  5. To use commercial experience and knowledge on direct and indirect taxation and achieve cost savings on sourcing  6. Supplier relationship management, including dispute, risk, issue etc.  7. Review of purchase orders ensuring goods and services are ordered correctly  8. Develop and implement procedures to cover all procurement and activities  9. Investigate, and re-engineer where appropriate, all processes and systems within procurement and deliver the procurement strategy  10. Develop and implement an approved supplier list, introducing vendor assessment techniques to measure performance and quality of supply  11. Develop vendors, manage grievances in order to build and manage vendor relationships and vendor capability  12. Prioritize and manage all procurement activities and provide management information as appropriate  13. Liaise with all other functions to manage project procurement within the budgeted cost & time  14. To manage procurement staff, internal customers and suppliers in a coherent and effective manner  15. Take sourcing decisions in consultation with COO,CFO & CEO  16. Collaborate with internal / external stakeholders  17. Develop the materials department for work in a globally acting company  18. Ensuring complete procurement cycle incl. logistics of material up to MMCL plant   Key Skills:  1. Procurement - regular and projects  2. Vendor relationship management  3.
