Requirement :
Person should have 15 to 20 years of work experience in Marketing with FMCG Personal Care company.
Strategic & Planning Responsibilities :
- Translate Business Vision & Strategy to derive the overall Brand and Market Strategy for the responsible product categories to develop a strong customer value proposition.
- Supports the individual Category Heads to derive the Marketing Strategy & Value Proposition of respective Category / Brands.
- Scans the market for potential new category/product opportunities to meet untapped consumer needs.
Functional Responsibilities :
- Guides subordinates (Category Heads) to translate the Marketing & Brand strategies into detailed marketing plans and execution of the same.
- Ensures individual brand focus is maintained through all possible media options and coordinates with oversees the alignment of branding strategy of Company and individual brands.
- Takes overall responsibility for Product Conceptualization, positioning & new product development in co-ordination with R&D.
- Monitors Health of the Brands, product performance segment wise and aligns actions to Marketing strategy.
- Drives effective media planning & evaluation to ensure optimal ROI on all media investments.
- Reviews the information on pricing patterns and pricing decisions of all brands. Regularly analyzes the competitor information through market intelligence and other sources.
- Scans the business environment on a continuous basis to identify, analyse and capture market trends and demands and provides developmental feedback for capability building targeted at catering to the market's present and future requirement.
- Evaluates marketing consultants employed on their deliverable and ensures desired results are achieved.
- Develops standardised Systems and Processes to enhance performance and remove redundancies.
- Create proposal for investment into new categories and capabilities.
Financial & Control Responsibilities :
- Reviews the information on pricing patterns and decides on the pricing of products so that the top-line & bottom-line objectives of the brand group are strictly met; Closely coordinates with the Sales & Distribution and Supply Chain teams for the same
- Develops Annual Plans & Budgeting for the marketing function and strives to increase return on expenditure on advertisement & brand endorsement.
- Plans for and ensures optimal manpower costs within the department.
People Responsibilities :
- Drives a culture of performance amongst subordinates - Set goals, review and manage performance, guide and counsel and provide feedback on performance so as to ensure a motivated and committed team.
- Ensure enhancement of functional capabilities of the team.
- Candidate must be mature enough to manage a highly talented team and multiple stakeholders.
- Ensures effective career and succession planning for all positions in the department
- Takes overall responsibility for increasing ownership & empowerment within the department
