Head Manufacturing Operations

We at Tracers India Search Pvt. Ltd. have an opening for the post of Head Manufacturing Operations with one of our esteemed well known manufacturing client in India.

Specific Responsibilities :

- Develop formal framework for Capacity planning (manpower, equipment, Plant, Vendors) taking into consideration the business expansion plans

- Meticulous execution of capacity management/enhancement plans

- Achieve monthly lead time and manufacturing objectives by following formal manufacturing planning and reviews within SCM and with BA teams.

- Develop and execute framework for continuously optimizing buying costs

- Continuous review and optimization of freight costs

- Continuously review and improve SCM processes and their implementation

- Monitor (using specific metrics) and improve the productivity of SCM functions by initiating improvement projects and/or deploying/upgrading necessary equipment /tools

- Achieve ITO objectives thru effective inventory management and materials planning

- Ensure statutory compliance of SCM operations

- Devise a detailed safety framework and ensure complete compliance

- Review and update supply chain practices in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards, regulations, or laws.

- Domain and soft skills up gradation of SCM team

- Develop and nurture high potentials for future roles.

Qualifications and Technical Skills :

- BE/Diploma in Electronics / Electrical /Mechanical or equivalent.

- Must be conversant with planning, Purchasing and manufacturing operations using an ERP system (preferably SAP).

- An MBA in operations management or Masters in a discipline related to SCM will be an added advantage. Must be conversant with PC tools (particularly MS office)

Key Interactions required :

External : Vendors, Global Producing, organizations, HUBs and other Global SCM teams

Internal : SCM team, BA teams, Sales admin, Commercial, Finance
