Client - A fast growing technology startup working in Urban Freight Logistics (Intra-city) providing on-demand platform that ensures price transparency, speed to delivery, and a better end-to-end experience for both shippers and truckers.
Education :
Min. Bachelor's Degree from a premier institute (Tier1) with first class, MBA (Business Operations) preferred.
Experience :
- Minimum 6-8 years of experience in an on-the-ground, fast paced, dynamic business environment, preferable in operations planning & execution, driver management, fleet management, customer relationship management, Compliances, etc. in logistics/transportation domain
Role Responsibilities and Desired Profile :
- Identify, evaluate, negotiate and manage base of Partners and Drivers
- Create/iterate processes to onboard, manage, train and schedule drivers
- Ensures end to end smooth running of logistics operations for the zone/area
- Adhere and enforce all operational procedures and policies, also ensures timely audit is conducted.
- Responsible for all the SLAs & TAT are maintained.
- Finalization of manpower, fleet, training, resource planning, etc
- Maintenance of all the operational budgets
- Responsible for continuous improvement & drive operational service parameters & deliverables (Daily/Weekly /Monthly Reports)
- Coordination & Negotiation with partners/vendors/truck owners for competitive freight rates & solutions
- Planning, implementing & managing optimal logistics solutions after in-depth analysis.
- To design & roll down strategies & SOP to Operations & Customer Service team, personalized involvement & interaction with customers & truck vendors/drivers etc.
- To monitor operation & customer service efficiency through set parameters and proper cost control measures.
- Monitor & Follow-up on collections with External/Internal customer and ensure that the receivables aging under control.
- Build and grow profitable business through personalized client relationship.
- Increase Customer delight - with timely, efficient & cost effective service levels.
- Recruit, train and build a good team for the department at all verticals.
- Regular coordination & planning with operations team with regards to prospect of development / Improvement in existing process etc.
- Impart behavioural & soft skills training to the team as and when required.
- Benchmarking with Competition by updating and coping up with latest trends, innovations and industry best practices
- Should have Data-driven approach and sound business judgment
- Should lead by strong analytical and project management skills
