Description : Leading the business legal team for the channels, you will be required to de-risk the business and manage, protect and enforce the IPR to enhance revenue growth

Client Details :

Our client is one of the largest media conglomerates in India and is looking to hire Head - legal for one of its business verticals.

Job Description :

- Work closely with business teams on rights acquisition, artist contracts, sponsorship and broadcast agreements, SHA, inter company agreements etc

- Exercise judgement on all legal issues with a solution oriented approach towards dispute resolution, IPR issues, anti-trust law etc

- Working with Strategic Counsel & General Counsel to Identify key strategic & tactical objectives for the Sports business that can be solved through calibrated & measured offensive or defensive litigation

- Work with Chief Compliance Officer to ensure that the business and the organisation are de-risked from statutory, regulatory, contractual compliance risks

- Work closely with Strategy Counsel & Government Relations Team on researching and analyzing various national & state policies, legislative amendments, bills, consultation papers, notifications, court related judicial pronouncements on contracts, commerce, IPR and competition law matters and in general anything that impacts the business

Profile :

- 12-15 years of PQE with 3-5 years in a reputed law firm

- Experience in the industry is a major plays

- Experience in handling sports related matters will be a plus
