Head - Legal & Compliance - LLB/LLM/CS - BFSI

Position: Head - Legal & Compliance

Role:

- Provide leadership to the Legal and Compliance department and play a key role in the development of the legal and compliance strategy

- Ensure efficient and effective management of staff and resources of the legal and compliance dept

- Advise management in India on all legal and regulatory developments affecting business operations

- Participate in the formulation and initiation of new business activities in India and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations

- Review and approve legal documentation for transactional and other matters

- Design and implement Compliance frameworks, processes and policies

- Contracts negotiations with clients and vendors

- Advise HR on policies, employee relations, labour law compliance etc.

- Monitor litigation risk and manage all litigation and other legal processes

Requirements:

- Grad or Masters Degree in Law

- Membership of Institute of Company Secretaries of India (Preferred)

- 15+ years of experience in Legal & Compliance Services, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in a Banking or IT services firm

- Good knowledge of Regulatory Compliance, Risk Management, Service Level Agreements, Data Protection etc.
