We are looking for Senior Level professional for the position of IT Head from Retail Industry who can head the entire IT Infrastructure and Architecture PAN India of our client who is a Leading European based Retail company based in Bangalore. Please find the JD below,
A. Job Purpose
- This person must understand the business and operate in a manner that meets and exceeds our customer’s expectations.
- He or She must be able to help the business provide high quality vision solutions that are affordable and simple to use.
- Understanding challenges in selling and servicing vision solutions is imperative and the individual needs to come up with simple solution with the use of IT to help those serving our end-customer with the use of the same.
- Experience in developing/deploying configurators in a multi-channel environment (store, Tele, Web) is key to the success of this individual.
This role is responsible for directing the strategy and implementation of solutions for all Information Technology needs of the organization, including but not limited to store, HO IT needs, data centers, technical service centers, production scheduling functions, help desks, communication networks (voice and data), computer program development, and computer systems operations.
B. Job Description
B 1.1 Costs
Ensure the IT operations adhere to the annual budget and cost effective solutions to business needs. Constantly think of how process efficiencies can be gained to achieve maximum return to the stockholders. Deploy solutions that will increase revenue of the business with minimal costs and IT complexities.
B 2.1 Development of IT Architecture
Understand and develop prioritized requirements to establish standards for hardware and software to ensure quality, functionality, connectivity, and compatibility to conduct business. Ensure creation or acquisition of appropriate hardware and software to meet business needs and strategy .
B 2.1 Standard Operating procedure for Installation and Maintenance
Create and implement process to ensure timely installation and maintenance of technology infrastructure at the store, including computers, POS systems, servers, scanners and other peripherals, operating systems, information kiosks, communication network (voice), data network connectivity (LAN and WAN), and business applications (such as e-mail, inventory, accounting, etc.)
Create and implement information security policies and procedures in line with corporate guidelines.
Validate IT maintenance contracts.
B 2.2 Minimize downtime and Resolve User problems
Ensure creation and implementation of process to minimize downtimes by resolving hardware and software related problems within defined timeframes as per SLA.
Oversee log and resolution of user problems related to technology usage – at the highest levels of escalation.
B 2.3 Transition and Update Technology at the Store
To ensure adoption of new technology at store, under the guidance of corporate technology group and transition new technology for use in store.
B 2.4 MIS and Data Management
Ensure creation of systems for maintenance of logs and MIS related to information management and infrastructure uptimes.
Ensure creation and implementation of processes for data management, back-up and need-based transfer as a daily procedure.
B 3.1 Administrative
Ensure that all administrative processes pertaining to people management including but not limited to Leave, Performance Management, grievance handling, etc. are carried out in a timely and accurate manner.
B 3.2 Leadership & People Development
Provide leadership to the team to improve their engagement and contribution by coaching, mentoring, and culture & Team building, personal & professional development and participation thereby ensuring retention and talent development for business expansion and growth.
B 3.2 Teaming and Co-operation
Facilitate cross functional team working, with special focus but not limited to, category and format teams.
B. 4.1 Internal Stakeholders
Liase with internal teams, including but not limited to marketing, operations and finance to understand and meet IT needs
B. 4.1 Liasoning with external agencies
Liaise with external agencies, including but not limited to vendors for creation and maintenance of IT infrastructure.
