ROLE:
- Identify and clarify current internal compliance practices and controls within the group
- Diagnose and develop clear SOPs/procedures to ensure compliance with all financial and core operational system requirements
- Gain assurance, across all activities, in adherence to procedures and practices, in line with the requirements of the group
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and clarify current internal compliance practices and controls
- Identify and diagnose functions/processes where internal audit is required
- Work with business heads, EDs and other senior management to improve their understanding of strategic and operational compliance and its business benefits
- Ensure regular compliance training sessions for managers at all levels
- Share compliance best practices across organization
- Diagnose and develop enhanced procedures to ensure compliance
- Plan and implement compliance activity where it is otherwise unsatisfactory
- Ensure that all the processes to be audited have clearly defined SOPs
- Coach the Internal Audit team, ensuring they are adequately trained and equipped
- Actively develop technical knowledge for new initiatives and systems
- Coordinate and support the operations of Internal Audit
- Conduct investigation on areas of specific concern
- Provide compliance and audit monitoring of key projects and initiatives
- Gain assurance, across all activities, in adherence to procedures and practices
- Ensure on-going monitoring/review of all key operational and financial transactions/processes
- Support external consultants in conducting audits
- Conduct inspections/reviews and prepare monthly audit reports
- Present key findings and major violations to Group Council on monthly basis
- Build the desired organisation with best-in-class processes and capabilities
