Head - Innovation - US Healthcare

This role has been created in line with rapid changes happening in the US Healthcare. The purpose of the role is to understand trends a) Consumerism b) Integrated care c) Clinical insights. The innovation team will be funded by the Business Unit and will focus on the following deliverables:

a. New Frameworks, Bolt On solutions on existing HealthCare products in the industry - e.g EPIC, Cerner. Facets, Healthedge

b. New service offerings around IT+KPO integration which enable us to change the business model with current clients and new prospects

c. New digital solutions around consumer engagement, provider engagement that leverage the domain knowledge, new technologies - BIG DATA, Analytics, wearable devices, mobile, integration and new architectures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:

- Develop Innovation Business Plans that cover a) Investments b) returns and c) Specialties To Market, In this regard, the Innovation Head will work with the BU Head and his direct reports to build baseline plan every year

- Create & Execute an operating plan to execute the above business plan

- Develop a robust internal platform across the BU for everybody to collaborate and network with each other for rapidly sharing ideas, learnings, best practices, assets

- Identify, qualify, evaluate and implement ideas for developing newer strategies, new business opportunities, new trends, newer business models or service offerings.

- Build a task force to adapt new technologies and architectures to serve the new business opportunities

- Create and operationalize incentivizing structure for driving innovation

- Benchmark our strategy with peers or competition as far as possible to help us stay ahead and on the top

- Should have exposure to agile working principles to help internal teams to develop solutions that could be taken to market rapidly

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

- A person with a great positive mindset and entrepreneurial spirit with minimum 15 Yrs of experience with at least 7 to 8 years of experience in healthcare and life sciences industry domain in performing a similar or supportive role.

- Should have prior experience in delivery /operations management or account management or must be an SME in healthcare and life sciences industry domain having played a consultant or a business analyst role at client site for a minimum of 3 years

- Proven experience in handling and making out of the box proposals to create value

- Proven experience on projects that are commercially and practically viable

- Proven experience in working on areas that are not tried or thought before

- Has ability to ask tough questions and challenge the status quo

- Can effectively manage and implement change across the SBU

- Should have some experience in working on lean/six sigma initiatives / projects

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Should possess ability to influence the project teams and clients with newer thought process

- Preferably a healthcare education background or an engineering graduation with an MBA with relevant industry experience

- Business Skills - Meaningful innovation with clarity on business planning and execution. Requires Customer Orientation, Market orientation and disruptive thinking

- Technology and Product expertise - New technologies, product exposure

- Ability to manage a team on the business goals

- Collaborate with other leaders to identify the focus areas and execute as per the market needs

- Business Architecture or Enterprise Architecture experience

- A subject matter expertise in any of the following

a) Healthcare industry certified professional

b) Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt certification

c) Scrum Master certification

d) Certified on newer technologies e.g. Mobility, Cloud

e) Master in Healthcare Analytics

f) Data Stuart or Data Champion

g) Experience in qualitative and quantitative analysis
