Head - Information Technology - Microfinance Institution (10-15 yrs)

Overview

Our client is a leading Microfinance Institution with a strong presence in Eastern India. Headquartered in Kolkata, our client has already received multiple rounds of funding from leading developmental agencies and private equity institutions. Candidates who are keen on applying for the position are required to have a passion for the development sector. This is a strategy / application oriented role and along with a background in IT the incumbent should also possess strong business acumen.

Designation: Head - IT

Location: Kolkata

Profile: Involves development and management of an integrated system based approach to enterprise operations and product offerings in a financial services domain, and handling a team to drive execution of the same through key responsibility areas such as:

a) Hardware upgrades and maintenance

b) Network solutions and maintenance

c) Software development, testing and maintenance (typically outsourced).

The profile will involve Vendor management and Project management related to the above mentioned areas.

This position will report to the CEO and is based out of Kolkata

Education Qualifications and experience : B/BTech /MCA/BSc/ MTech having 10 years in IT preferably in Non IT firms having excellent skills in application development, testing and implementation, networking, system support, IT infrastructure and project management skills, especially in the financial services sector

Job Responsibilities :

- Developing an IT strategy/ plan including robust IT infrastructure

- Enabling synergies and develop a forward looking IT system by developing a robust understanding and monitoring of existing LMS and other applications

- Monitoring and management of teams and vendors across:

a) Hardware management and procurement

b) Network management and procurement

c) Software maintenance, development, testing and implementation

d) MIS

- Project management across the above mentioned areas

- Development and maintenance of up-to-date and compliant IT policies including security and privacy policies

- Manage external and internal technology platforms (e.g. ERP systems and portals, websites etc.)

Key skills and experience:

- Team management

- Project management

- Vendor management

- Keen understanding of business needs and current innovations, especially in a financial services construct

- Application development, testing and implementation, especially new innovative applications and platforms

- Understanding of allied network, hardware, and IT operations requirements

- Knowledge of prevalent coding languages and platforms
