About Our Client:

WHISHWORKS is a niche IT consulting organisation with focus on Big Data & System Integration space. In the past 3 years our revenue has grown four-fold and we expect to maintain that acceleration.

We are looking for a Thought Leader who can carry forward the dynamic growth and would help together to build a best place to work. Ideal individual will be MBA graduate from Tier- I B-schools with a post qualification experience of 15+ years.

We would prefer someone coming with an open mind-set and willing to take up challenges that come with a rapidly growing organisation.

Role Summary

- The Head, HR will be an integral part of the leadership team and will assist the CEO in developing and executing WHISHWORKS- growth plan

- The Head, HR will hold end-to-end responsibilities for all people based activity within the organization, both operational and strategic

- She / he will lead HR function being a subject matter expert & align HR best practices to business needs and employee expectations thus building a strong organisational culture geared towards achieving the WHISHWORKS 2020 mission

Primary Responsibilities

- HR Strategy and Operations

Develop and implement long term HR strategy in line with the organisation's vision & mission; and lead the business through the delivery of key programs in support of strategic goals

Ensure that HR programs and policies support the needs of the business and are also flexible enough to cope with changes in the organisation

Work proactively to bring Best Practices in all aspects of HR - policies, processes, benefits, metrics etc.

Act as a business partner to the executive team; Strategically focus on areas of - talent planning, talent management, employee engagement and organizational design efforts

Support leadership with key employee metrics

Ensure compliances with all laws, rules and regulations in close alliance with Operations and other teams

- Talent Acquisition

Define forecast for manpower requirements in close partnership with business leaders; plan and budget against the growth needs

Manage entire recruitment process - set governance and reporting mechanism for efficient stakeholder management (business leadership, prospective employees vendors and other external agencies)

Efficiently use both internal and external sourcing channels like internal job postings, employee referral programme, LinkedIN etc. for all hiring needs

Provide regular reports of open & filled positions and design hiring strategies based on outcomes

Own recruitment of all critical positions

- Talent Management and Development

Establish robust talent management processes, including succession planning and leadership development

Drive the Drive Performance Management & Compensation & benefits processes

Prime Custodian of Competency framework design; Review and if needed, redefine Proficiency level expectations for employee bands / roles

Responsible for Learning & Development function - conduct Training Needs Analysis; Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate a training plan with inputs from business heads

- Employee Relations

Lead initiatives to socialize organization culture and values, ensure buying at all levels

Provide guidelines on expected behaviors of all employees and towards the development of a high performance culture

Act as an internal consultant to assess, define and implement policy and procedures

Ideate, Plan and lead all employee engagement activities including all Monthly and Annual events

Timely redress all employee grievances and create a positive work environment

- Strong track record of effective contribution towards strategic initiatives

- Proven ability to re-engineer processes with exposure in building effective and scalable processes that are built to sustain growth

- Assertive, confident and influential personality

- Strong ability to present powerful presentations that drive stakeholders to action

- Articulate and persuasive communicator with pragmatic but people-centric approach towards overcoming objections and securing stakeholder agreement to HR recommendations Capability to interact with all levels in the organisation and flexibility to be proactive in a fast paced, ever changing environment

- Competence in making timely, effective, principles-based decisions with and efficiency in performing tactical & operational work

- Need experience with multiple different HR policies and also handling people across borders

- Must Have - a strong experience in managing HR Function at IT organisation and use of technologies to achieve business goals

- Must Have - MBA from a prominent B-School
