Job Description :   Brief :   Retail HR head for approx.. 200 400 stores.  Bangalore based  HR +IR exposure  - Will be responsible for FO and CO formats  - Should have a good understanding of revenue model in retail  - Should be target oriented  - Will involve approx. 15 days of travel  Primary Responsibilities :   - Plan, develop and implement strategy for HR management and development (including selection, recruitment and staffing; policy/practices; discipline; grievance; counseling; compensation and benefits; T&D, succession planning; performance appraisals; OD).  - To provide HR leadership.  - Monitor, measure and report on HR issues, opportunities and development plans within agreed formats and timescales.  - Manage and develop direct reporting staff their orientation, development and training  - Forecast and control HR budget.  - Liaise with other functional/departmental managers to identify needs of HR development and to ensure that they are informed of HR objectives, purposes and achievements.  - Maintain awareness and knowledge of contemporary HR development theory and methods and provide suitable interpretation to directors, managers and staff within the organization.  - Contribute to the evaluation and development of Performance Management and Improvement Systems.  - Employment and compliance to Regulatory Concerns for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies, etc.  - Ensure high level of strategic and transactional services (like business synergy analysis; due diligence; merger integration assistance; ongoing HR benefits; communications etc) enabling country managers, department heads and line managers to achieve goals.   - Show career path to employee through Induction, Orientation and Identification of developmental needs.  - Conduct annual performance appraisal in consonance with functional heads.  - To implement good discipline at work, Grievance handling, problem solving & counseling.  - Employee engagement activities like Labor Welfare Committee/Women Workers Committee etc.  - Statutory Compliances/Government regulations/document processing.  - Interaction with government officials and adherence to regulations.  - Negotiating best practices in the interest of the organization.  Knowledge and Skill requirements :   - Should possess an MBA.  - Experience of 13-18 years preferably from retail/ manufacturing industry. Good exposure into competency mapping / skill assessment etc.  - Should be capable of independently handling formulation of policies and processes, people management practices, HR strategy etc.  - Should be assertive, analytical, negotiator, problem solving skills with leadership qualities  - Should be comfortable with locally spoken languages.  - Should be aware of industrial compliances, govt regulations, environmental implications and processes applicable to a manufacturing set up.  Essential Qualifications / Experience :   - Minimum 10 years industry experience of which atleast 3 years should be in a leadership role.  - Minimum Post Graduation degree/diploma in HR / PM & IR with experience in corporate office as Regional / Zonal Head.
