Head - Human Resource - Nonwovens Firm (15-25 yrs)

Our client is the largest and most diversified nonwovens company in India. End applications for it's products include filtration products going in Pollution Control Systems at Cement/Steel/Power/Alloy industries, Interlinings which find application in apparel and shoe industry, - and several nonwoven based customised solutions for diverse industrial applications. Tier-1 supplier of choice for Automotive Interior Trims and NVH components.

The company started its operations in 1986 with one plant at Gujarat and today operates 14 manufacturing locations across India. It has 1600 employees directly and another 2500 trainee/temporary workers. The net sales turnover of the Group is Rs. 750 crores with healthy growth and margins.

Key areas of responsibility and Job Profile for HR Head :

- Talent Acquisition/Talent Management.

- Performance Management.

- Compensation and Benefits.

- Oversee Industrial Relations/Administration.

Other attributes will be :

- Good graduate degree with additional PG qualifications in HR.

- Should be conversant and experienced in modern methods of recruitment, induction, training, appraisal and other relevant HR practices.

- Must be good in following up of all work-related matters to successful conclusion.

- Must be good at analyzing data and summarizing scenarios to facilitate management decision making.

- Must be a self motivated individual with high energy levels.

- Must be willing to travel extensively all across India.

- Must have clarity of vision and purpose.

- Must be able to lead diverse teams and be willing to stick around for the long haul.

- Must work with various functional/ location heads to identify risks and put in place systems, processes and resources.

- Must have a knack for mentoring and training.

- Functional exposure in a manufacturing operations role prior to HR will be an added advantage

- 40+ years age group.

- 15+ years- experience, preferably in an Engineering/Manufacturing environment.

- Strong people management skills and supervise a team.

- Should have exposure to managing blue collar workforce and some direct IR/Administration experience

- Position is Mumbai based.

- Outstanding communication and inter-personal skills.

- Ability to work in an international and multi-cultural team.

- Highly collaborative and empathetic but equally results-driven.

- Highest standards of integrity, ethics and professionalism.
