Head - HR Shared Services Transformation - XLRI/TISS (14-18 yrs)

We have been retained by one of the Premier Banking Global In-House Captive to identify a Lead HR Transformation within their HR Service Organization supporting the global organization. Location is Chennai.

Role Title : HEAD, HR Shared Services Transformation

Role Grade : Senior Vice President

Reports to: HEAD of HR Shared Services

JOB PURPOSE

A leader in HR Shared Services practices and has consolidated the highest number of processes in a hub. We are now embarking on the journey to take Shared Services to the next level of value proposition. The objectives of this role are:

- To design, influence and implement the new operating model for HRSSC to enhance Operational efficiency, Employee experience and High skill capability. This may include aspects such as: re-engineering, automation processes and technology solutions.

- Oversee the multiple work streams during redesign and implementation stages of all changes.

- Responsible for ensuring the engagement of key stakeholders throughout and ensuring an engaged HR function.

- Lead /partner on designated HR initiatives representing HRSSC.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy

- Enable sustainable business performance from the HRSSC by delivering transformation projects across the HRSSC.

- Support the continuous review of the HRSSC operating models for alignment to the overall business strategy and introducing best industry practices such as self service, elegant, integrated and straight through processing

- Transition from a process execution mindset to an owner of end to end operations.

Business Partnership

- Articulate a strong understanding of the business requirements and associated vision for the HRSSC

- Drive global performance and measurement requirements to support business deliverables.

Processes

- Lead and direct the overall HRSSC transformation program including identifying requirements functional design, prototyping, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), testing, training and defining support procedures and supporting implementations.

- Facilitate decision making related to design and implementation process.

- Monitor, track, and report progress toward achieving transformation projects; facilitate the resolution of issues; escalate issues to the appropriate resources for resolution.

- Direct each initiative through the full life-cycle, to include: Design, Build, Testing, Training, Deployment, Cutover, Issue Resolution, Risk Mitigation, through to project closure.

- The ambassador for the program, leading by example, inspiring trust and the confidence of the stakeholders.

- Ensure effective management of operational risks within the role remit and compliance with applicable internal policies, and external laws and regulation.

- Evaluate current processes and technologies for cost efficiencies and effectiveness, recommend appropriate changes and lead execution/implementation of recommended and approved changes.

- Responsible for tracking and reporting all project progress, successes and failure

People and Talent

- Lead by example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations for the team and work in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, including risk and control partners.

- Develop and embed a high performance culture with specific focus on capability, effectiveness and employee experience.

- Design and develop training framework to support the new structure.

Risk Management

- Understand the risk and control environment in HR's area of responsibility and drive rectification as required.

- Support the effective implementation of Risk Management framework within the role remit.

- Ensure effective processes are in place to identify, manage, monitor and report risk.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Qualification: MBA from reputed institute like XLRI /TISS /SIMB ( Preferred )

- Preferred Experience : 14- 18 years

Knowledge

- Experience of delivering transformational projects including process re engineering and technology in a Shared Service Centre. Experience in HR Shared Shares will be an added advantage.

- Experience of running a complex back office operation including customer services.

- Knowledge of change management and driving organisational effectiveness

- Financial services knowledge preferred

Skills

- Ability to manage complex situations and identifying innovative solutions that support the business and the organisation.

- Results oriented; proven ability to work across all levels, balancing a practical approach with the details required to ensure execution is on track.

- Proven track record in successfully managing and delivery of transformation program with tangible behavioural outcomes

- Ability to make decisions with a leadership style that encourages wide participation in decision making.

- Excellent interpersonal skills including strong communication skills (verbal & written), facilitation skills

- Gains followership and commitment through confident and courageous influencing.

Personal capabilities

- Excellent stakeholder management skills; comfort with dealing at top team level internally and externally and ability to challenge where deemed necessary

- International experience and high cultural sensitivity

- Convincing social skills, endurance, personal perseverance, strong self motivation, entrepreneurial, team player
