Job description for Head HR-Bangalore with 1 of the growing NBFC.
Key Accountabilities:
Recruitment:
- Ensure hiring is in line with rollout schedule and manpower budget
- Evolve and implement recruitment strategy and process
- Create appropriate data bases for hiring of different profiles, as required
- Monitor that newly hired employees receive proper orientation about the organization & values through induction and other relevant training programs
- Identify, evaluate and tie up with cost-effective recruitment vendors
Compensation, Benefits & Budgeting:
- Support HR Ops in processing of employee’s salary on time with accuracy
- Support HR Ops in monitoring time sheets, incentives, payroll computation, and other information in order to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies
- Monitor preparation and distribution of written and verbal information to inform employees of benefits, compensation, and personnel policies
- Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of Vendor relating to compensation& Benefits, Compliance and labor relations
- Identify, evaluate and refer benefits policies to management to ensure that programs are current, competitive and in compliance with legal requirements
- Manage cost within approved budget in areas like Wage Bill including head count, HR costs, recruitment and training costs.
Statutory and Compliance:
- Be responsible for the organization, administration and payment of subscriptions in respect of the employee pensions and health insurance schemes and all other benefits packages.
- Monitor if S&E, Professional Tax and ESIC registrations happening on time.
Ensure compliance to all company policies, standards/statutory requirements and processes
Key Performance Indicators (KPI):
- Timely Recruitment of the right profile of employees
- Cost per hire
- Overall attrition control & staffing %
- Successful implementation of effective training programs
- Timely MIS & Reporting
- Well defined Employee Engagement framework
- Appraisals.
People Management:
- Dealing with issues pertaining to employee discipline
- Addressing employee queries, issues and concerns proactively. Escalating the same and following up for closure where required
- Counseling employees, addressing and closing employee grievances effectively
- Enhance the touch, time and quality of service with employees by building relationships and employee engagement
- Support line management in talent retention by: Understanding the significance and implementing key talent management processes. Draw customized action plan to retain key employees
- Tracking attrition trends, suggesting and implementing corrective action
- Ensure communication channels are set up and are functioning smoothly
Training & Development:
- To understand behavioral and technical training requirements from businesses and support groups
- To customize training modules in consultation with the line managers
- To train identified employees as trainers and grooming them into the role
- To measure the effectiveness of training modules by using pre and post training feedback forms
- To take inputs from line managers and various HR systems to develop the training calendar
- Conduct various functional & behavioral training programs for employees
- Anchor orientation and induction of new employees
Performance Management System:
- Facilitate / deploy Performance Management Systems
- Undertake the necessary training with team and business staff to ensure that the appraisal scheme operates effectively
- Implementing the Organization’s Appraisal Process
- Monitoring the timely initiation and completion of process according to established deadlines
Operations:
- Monitor Preparing and maintaining employee personnel records
- Monitor Employee leave records
- Monitor Employee confirmation system
- Monitor smooth flow of separation and settlement process
- Contribute to the development & continuous improvement of HR processes, systems & procedures
Employer Branding and Culture Building:
- Ensure deployment of values across company through variety of channels
- Ensure adherence to culture with focus on four values
- Maintain tight control on the discipline management process
Job Specification:
Educational Qualifications: Post graduate, MSW, Any Post Graduate in Human Resources preferably from a reputed institute, MBA-HR.
Professional Experience: 15 years & above of experience in Human Resources out of which 5 yrs of experience should have been in a supervisory role at a Regional or National Level.
