(http://www.devtech.com.sg)   Devtech Lighting products include Commercial and Industrial Electronic Ballasts and Lighting Control Gear for Metal Halides/HPS /LED/Outdoor Street Lighting for OEM/Utilities/Municipalities deliver significant energy savings when used in place of traditional magnetic ballasts and or Lighting Control Gears used in conjunction with existing Magnetic Ballasts.  DEVTECH is based in Singapore .  Job Description:  The Head of Global Sales will report to the Chairman/ Director of the DEVTECH Lighting group. In this global role, this position will be responsible for managing and leading all sales activities for the Lighting Products business at DEVTECH.   This position is expected to cultivate and leverage relationships with C-level executives in our existing and targeted new customer base and to drive closure of business to increase profitable top line growth in the business. It will also be important to qualify new business targets with financially substantiated business cases, which is critical to have in emerging markets such as Controls in Lighting. We are often working with legacy based Lighting Equipment Manufacturers/ ESCOs/ Utilities/ Municipalities or - new- industries, and we need to complete additional levels of diligence and justify our decisions with business case analysis.   The Head of Global Sales -Lighting Products will also be responsible for multi-year strategic customer and lighting business account plans that highlight market opportunities and competitive positions including SWOT analysis. In addition to outstanding customer facing and sales closure rates, the candidate needs to have the business and analytical acumen, skills and lighting industry experience to develop and present compelling business cases to the DEVTECH's Executive Management team.   This position will also provide leadership in the planning and implementation of market and customer penetration strategies in order to cultivate and capture significant new sales opportunities that enable DEVTECH's lighting businesses to exceed revenue and profit expectations.   Responsibilities:   - Manage all global sales channels for lighting products including direct sales, representatives (lighting agencies), and distributors.   - Analyze and understand customer strategies, future product plans, expansion activities, and competition to develop solutions to customer challenges and create new business opportunities.   - Cultivate customer relationships, deliver effective proposals, and negotiate and close complex contracts to capture profitable new business.   - Effectively brief and leverage executives on strategy and tactics to enhance customer relationships and consummate deals.   - Ensure business proposal objectives and deliverables maximize sales while delivering required margin and operating profit goals.   - Successfully negotiate difficult and/or critical business matters and customer escalations through interaction with executive level managers both internally and externally.  - Take appropriate levels of risk and make decisions that have significant business impact.   - Be industry knowledgeable and a respected senior business leader in your field.   - Mentor existing team members while at the same time attract top industry talent to develop the lighting industry's pre-eminent solution oriented sales team.   Required (must-have) Qualifications:   - Bachelor degree in technology/sciences, sales, business development, business management, or a related discipline; MBA preferred.   - Ten plus years of progressive experience in lighting industry sales and leadership roles; HID lighting industry experience preferred.   - Knowledge of strategic sales, customer program management and strong financial acumen.   - Dynamic builder of relationships with customers and entrepreneurial success identifying new areas of opportunity and negotiating complex business deals for mutual benefit.   - Ability to influence and successfully lead in a complex, fast-paced, matrix- reporting, multi-cultural environment.   - An effective verbal and written communicator with customers, executives, peers, and subordinates, commanding respect and creating a lasting impression.   - Strategic out-of-the box thinking, problem-solving, negotiation, and decision- making skills.   - Willingness to take ownership and consistently deliver on commitments with a - can-do- attitude.   - Well versed in all MS Office applications   - English fluency is a must; multiple language capabilities are a plus.
