About Our Client:

Our client is a leading bank in retail banking products like credit cards, mortgage, auto loans, etc.across all major markets in which they operate. As part of expansion of their global analytics team, they are looking for a AVP who can play a critical role in their Reporting & Financial Analytics division and become a thought leader to the organization.

Job Description:

Reporting into the BIU Head, you will be responsible for:

- Lead the Financial Analytics team within the BIU

- Lead the business planning, budgeting and forecasting processes for Retail (both liabilities and lending) businesses.

- Monitor business performance, analyze variance drivers, and provide periodic updates to senior management.

- Provide insight on key performance trends and identify risks/opportunities towards meeting business targets.

- Provide thought leadership to long-term strategic planning process by delivering insightful analysis and perspective. Support product managers and sales managers in understanding expenditure, accruals and prepayments and improving the timing and accuracy of forecasts.

- Build out other business analytics such as customer service analytics, productivity analytics, and distribution-channel analytics.

- Conduct other adhoc analyses as needed.

- Lead a team of analyst(s) fostering a high performance culture.

The Successful Applicant

As a successful candidate you should have:

- Bachelors degree in Business/Economics/Finance/Engineering or other quantitative disciplines.

- Masters degree preferred. 6+ years of analytics experience preferably from Consumer Banking, Financial services, Payments industries

- Excellent spreadsheet and presentation skills

- Knowledge of SAS / SQL will be an added advantage

- Sharp analytical thinker and proven thought leader

- Strong communication skills - ability to work with multiple product teams/stakeholders, understand key business objectives, and communicate complex concepts effectively to different audiences

- Tremendous drive towards results. Ability to persist against obstacles and get things done.
