Head - Finance Operations - Shared Services (17-20 yrs)

JOB PURPOSE :

Describes the general purpose of the position or its significance from the organisation's point of view and how it contributes to the overall mission/objective of the organization . :

1. Lead and managed SSC Operations and drive service delivery for F&A Operations in scope of SSC

- Transition and Program management support to come from SSC PMO

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES :

Accountabilities Key Performance Indicators :

- SSC Service Delivery Operations

- Plan and Manage Operating manpower related AOP

- Deliver SSC Operations in F&A areas as per agreed service levels

- Partner Management

- Ensure effective partner engagement and governance - Adherence to AOP

- SSC SLA Report

- Partner Governance SLA Report

- Stakeholder and customer satisfaction

i. Lead and manage Operational governance and engagement with key stakeholders

ii. Ensure Statutory and Regulatory audit partners engagement Engagement and Governance Feedback

Operational excellence :

i. Implement Operational excellence framework and deliver tangible improvements.

ii. Deliver productivity improvement as per SSC 3.0 Roadmap

Quality and Compliance :

i. Deliver and ensure Audit and process compliance requirements

ii. Lead and implement Governance and Audit control framework for effective Service delivery - % of productivity improved

- Improvement in Capacity utilization

- Backup and Cross Training Index

- Reporting and Tracking covered through Visual dasbboards

- Reduction in Audit and compliance gaps

Innovation and Excellence :

i. Support in implementation of Continuous improvement culture and training on the operations floor.

ii. Leverage and drive Visual Analytics dashboard and Automated progress reporting tools

iii. Drive Structured Process improvement implementation and closure

iv. Lead Operational process improvement project including technology and E2E process changes for scope managed by SSC - No. of Process improvements implemented for End to End as per plan

- No. of process improvement benefits signed off by MAG through audit

Employee Engagement and Performance management

iii. Responsible for Employee related HR policies and process implementation and governance - Employee Engagement Feedback

- Attrition percentage

- Adherence to Managers HR Job Card

Process Transition, stabilization :

i. Engage and get buyin on Operational transition of R2R processes from Airports and Energy sector

ii. Lead Operational stabilization of all incoming new transition processes for R2R from Energy and Airports sectors

iii. Ensure and drive Operational scope consistency across all sectors

iv. Ensure stabilization of SSC 3.0 Centre for Finance operations in Hyderabad - % coverage of scope, % of operational stabilization

Finance domain expertise and People supply chain development

i. Drive and lead SSC Operations as Finance domain expert for AP and R2R processes

ii. Engage and support all group wide process and compliance norms, improvements for AP/ R2R Processes

iii. Define Organization competency requirements and partner with Finance council for improving and augmenting Finance capability within SSC - No. of Escalations related to Financial accounting issues, No. of Unique Job roles for Finance migrated to SSC 3.0

4. INTERACTIONS :

Statutory and Regulatory audit partners CFO for all sectors

IT Service Providers CEO/ GCXO for all Sectors

HR Vendors Finance and MAG Council

5. DIMENSIONS :

Financial Dimensions :

(These should be quantifiable numerical amounts like annual budgets, project costs, annual revenue, purchase value etc.).

- Manage SSC Operating manpower for AP Operations ~45 resources

- Manage SSC Operating manpower for R2R Operations - 16 Resources

- Transition and stabilize R2R Operations for Energy and Airport sectors

Other Dimensions :

(Indication of some of the significant volumes associated with the job like number in team/ staff handled etc).

- Ability to manage 90,000 + Invoices per annum-

6. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE :

(State the minimum acceptable proficiency for this job which best indicates the education and/or experience requirements of this job and not the incumbent).

Educational Qualifications :

- CA/ Inter CA

- Basic graduate degree in Commerce

- Certification in IND AS and ICFR

Relevant and total years of Experience :

- 17-19 years of total experience of which 8-9 years in setting up and managing Shared Services operations delivery

- 10+ years of functional experience in large multi sector organizations preferably in Corporate functions related to Finance and Accounting processes including but not limited to Accounts Payable, GL Accounting, Financial planning and Analysis, Reconciliations and Master data management

- Knowledge of Shared Services Transition and Operations management frameworks

- Exposure and basic certification in LEAN Six Sigma and / or other process improvement techniques

- Work experience on SAP ERP and Workflow based Operations delivery

- Basic knowledge of IT Applications - Workflow solutions, Microsoft, Visio, Project Management systems,

- Expert knowledge of India/ Global Indirect Taxation policies and framework

- Expert knowledge in Project accounting and O&M Services contracts

- Experience in India Accounting standards - IND AS and Audit review frameworks - ICFR

- Knowledge and experience of leading and working with established Quality management systems such as ISO

- Basic knowledge of Employee statutory payments requirements - Payroll, PF, Insurance, Gratuity, Medical benefits
