Head - Finance Operations - Mobile Network Operator

We are looking for a Head of Finance Operations with a leading mobile network operator based at New Delhi.

Job Details :

Location : New Delhi

Education Qualification : CA/MBA Finance (Full time only)

Reports to : Finance & Accounts Head

Region : UP West Circle

CTC : Standard Industry Hike, 20 L - 24 L

Grade : Manager / SM

Experience : 7 to 10 years preferably in telecom sector finance function. Leads a team of 15 employees, 3-4 direct reports

Role Purpose :

To oversee the running of finance and accounting operations, to interact with auditors and regulatory/statutory authorities and to lead the accounting team for smooth functioning of the circle finance operations.

Management reporting :

- Work with the FP&A team in providing accurate management reporting to the HoF

- Analyze various reports related to revenue and profitability to gauge the financial health of circle operations

Financial statement closure :

- Approve period end closing figures

- Oversee timely and accurate closure of financial statements

- Approve the Regulatory and Statutory Financial Statements

- Ensure that the accounting departments adheres to all the regulations and policies setup by the corporate during the statement preparation process

- Ensure that the company is not subject to any undue risk related to statutory/regulatory compliance

Review of Financial Operations :

- Lead the GL (General Ledger) Accounting team, performing periodic reviews of entries prepared by GL team at Circle and teams

- Lead the Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets, Treasury and Tax teams at the Circle ensuring timely and accurate recording of transactions via Circle and teams

Leadership and team building :

- Lead the accounting and finance operations team

- Interact with the team on regular basis and motivate them for highest performance

- Conduct team building sessions/events to develop strong team spirit

Recruitment and appraisal :

- Play a key role in recruitment of accounting staff

- Play the role of Appraiser/approver for the employee appraisal process

Communication :

- Communicate the company policies and initiatives with accounting and finance operations team

- Communicate the key issues and concerns faced by the team to the management

- Communicate finance related issues with other departments

- Act as a key contact person for finance related issues for other departments

External Audits :

- Work with Auditors to analyze external audit results

- Analysis of open issues and work with team to close them

Personal Specifications :

- Knowledge of general accounting and reporting, Profitability

- Presentation skills, negotiation skills and leadership skills

- Strong Business understanding and process focus

- Effective at motivating others and in getting things done

- Proficient at delegation

- Team player with ability to handle stress

- Knowledge of Telecom, Government Regulations, Growth industry

- Experience in handling moderate sized teams (10-15) people

- Analysis, Working knowledge of SAP finance function
