Head - Finance - Education Sector (10-12 yrs)
About the company : a leading education service provider, that offers a broad range of support services and solutions to Schools and Junior colleges. The company has partnered 50+ schools and 10+ junior colleges in addition to several educational institutions.
The services provided include solutions for school (academic, extra curricular), school ERP and IT Management, teacher training, marketing solutions amongst others.
About the role : Head of Finance, reporting into the CEO & Group CFO
MBA / CA with 10-12 years post qual. experience and relevant retail business finance experience
Responsibilities :
- Cash management - Critical
- Manage financial capital
- Communicate capital requirements / implications of business decisions to CEO, customers, Board of Directors and Investors
- Ensure efficient capital expenditures and minimize taxes
Proactively manage cash flows in a leveraged environment :
- Conduct meaningful proactive analysis to improve key business decisions focusing on management of working capital
- Effectively manage Banks/Lenders, BOD and investor relationships
- Define the financial strategy and annual budget process and the monthly reporting
Corporate Finance Related :
- Lead financial aspects of potential M&A / Fund raise / IPO activity
- Grow equity value - increase gross profit and optimize debt
- Provide useful financial insights to help make better decisions about formulating and executing business strategy
Risk and Compliance :
- Lead the Compliance processes for the organization including taxes, FEMA, Companies Act, RBI guidelines, etc.
- Develop and implement a risk management policy
- Establish processes for managing / finalizing customer contracts and timely/accurate billing
- Lead operational technology systems integration with financial systems efforts
