Head - Finance - CA/ICWA - Distribution House (7-12 yrs)

We have an urgent requirement with a newly setup distribution house at Gurgaon ( JV B/W Indian MNC & Italian Group).

Designation : Finance Head

Reporting to : Group CFO & Business Head

Qualification : CA/ICWA

Profile :

Commercial :

- Working with COO for achieving Top line and bottom line as per AOP with control environment.

- Ensure effective utilization of SAP for all processes, as defined.

- Establishing Proper controls in AR Management, including billing, Collection and Customers Credit control

- Establishing proper control in Inventory Management by defining proper inventory norms and check and balances for properly inventory related transitions

- Developing effective mechanism for receivables management to ensure high collection efficiency - design & roll out collection strategy, including monitoring overdue receivables, strategies and forecast bad debts, submission of ageing reports and develop processes/mechanism to have an effective mode of collection through the right medium

- Establishing controls on schemes to customers as well as marketing expenses

- Establishing Controls on procurement and payables

- Analysis of Selling and Distribution expenses and taking required actions to achieve AOP

- Analyzing business plans, AOP in commercial aspects with COO and working for efficiency and cost reduction plans.

- Ensuring tax Compliance

- Budgetary Control: Conducting cost variance analysis and implementing corrective actions.

- Supervising Sales Accounting

- Preparation & analysis of product wise NVA and analysis of Monthly MIS.

- Debtors Management including accounts reconciliation and settlement.

- Management of accounts payable and continuous efforts for reduction in sales & distribution expenses.

- Responsible for Price Master Set up and Price Changes in System

- Analysis and processing of Debit Note/ Credit Note payable/ receivable.

- Liaison and handling with excise and commercial tax authorities and ensuring timely returns filling and regulatory compliances.

- Delivering & conducting feedback meetings with the management on financial performance viz. Ageing analysis, expenses, Variance analysis, profitability etc.

Budgeting and Cost Management :

- Work directly with team leaders/department heads in the forecasting of revenues and expenses, reporting to managing partners on a quarterly basis relating to the services cost, marketing cost, HR Cost & scheme management.

- Achieve timely closure of company's annual financial planning & budgeting process and assign responsibilities for the same.

- Guide and supervise short and long term operating expense budgeting and capital cost budgeting policies of the companies.

- Define the procedure and guide development of all templates and data sources used for creating the budgets and operating plans.

- Assist the department heads understand the budgeting and planning process and their respective roles in the same.

- Guide the design of the organization's budget control report that requires continuous comparison of actual performance with predicted budgetary performance.

- Interface with internal stakeholders in completing the financial planning and budgeting process and providing regular variance analyses.

- Assist management in financial decision making - by analyzing budgets and providing variance reports that can be acted upon by the COO.

- Provide advice and support to functional heads and Zonal heads for all budgeting and planning related queries.

- Review and record important observations about investment budgets submitted by various functions.

Procurement and Supply Chain Management :

- Investigate and recommend resources for capital when needed, negotiating competitive rates. Providing the price negotiations, Responsible for all commercial negotiations with suppliers, associates, distributors, etc to drive down costs and improve business margins.

- This would include rolling out pricing for the product in consultation with the Business Head and issuance of the purchase orders to the vendors.

Market Intelligence :

Provide consultative inputs to the top management and internal stakeholders for decision making

- Build an understanding of the market scenario and industry trends for investments. Advise COO about the implications of these in the short, mid and long term for the company.

- Perform various financial and budget analysis in the areas of profit planning, capital expenditures, cash flow, budgeting, company performance and competitor performance

Compliances and Audits :

- Ensure statutory compliances of all systems, processes & accounting practices.

- Oversee Internal audit operations for the company

- Identify and deploy resources for conducting the company wide internal audit

- Manage and foster good working relationships with other departments to facilitate the internal audit process and achieve timely closure of the same for management reporting

- Develop and establish tax strategies and projects designed to minimize the organizations tax cost in consultation with business and the tax advisors.

- Monitor timely and accurate financial transactions with vendors

MIS Adherences :

- Establish review mechanism for ensuring accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records and reports.

Team Management :

Perform the role of a people manager for the department :

- Manage and support recruitment, set KRA's for direct reports, monitor overall department KRA's, conduct performance appraisal.

- Oversee staff deployment and drive motivation levels of the team, monitor staff welfare and facilitate complaint resolution to manage efficiency levels and drive timely delivery of all operational targets.

- Develop talent within the team by providing consistent direction and support to achieve stretch targets and take leadership positions.
