Primary responsibilities:

- Manage the transfer of technology from HQ & other nominated countries into India in the initial stages of the project & also on an ongoing basis.

- Establish proper systems / processes in place for step by step absorption of technology at local level in India. Provide the leadership in achieving this.

- Implement internal systems / controls for ensuring the safe keeping of all the drawings, technical information, technological inputs etc.

- Guide the manufacturing on the drawings etc. as & when the local manufacturing in SXS India commences. Also help the Operations team by providing them the product specifications, material standards / specifications, testing procedures etc.

- Lead the quality function in the initial period / phase & establish the quality processes / systems across organisation.

- Develop the ISO manuals & implement them across organisation.

- Ensure that organisation gets all the ISO certifications as per our Global guidelines / norms.

- Establish & manage the Customer Training centre in organisation. Introduce customer / India specific training courses & take on the role of Training Manager for training Customers & also internal teams.

- Work with the National Sales Manager & introduce / Implement the services like steam trap survey, energy audits etc. in India & ensure that our Global practices are made available to Indian customers.

- Visit customers as & when needed with the sales team for promoting energy improvement programs / our products / services offerings etc. & gain technical leadership in the Indian market.

- Identify the typical requirements of the Indian market, tailor our product offerings & services to suit the Indian market. This also includes working on new product development / modifying the existing products etc. in consultation with our Global Product Managers. In short take the responsibility for product development.

- Over a period of 3 years develop a local R&D team / capabilities for product development both for India & global use in agreement with the Global Product Development teams.

- At an opportune time work with the National Sales Manager & introduce the Engineered / packaged Systems into the Indian market as part of the Solutions selling strategy. Help the Operations team in developing local supply chain for developing / manufacturing engineered systems.

- Work with the ERP team in implementing the ERP system across the company.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Education:

(UG - B.Tech/B.E. - Any Specialization, Mechanical) OR (PG- M.Tech - Any Specialization, Mechanical) OR (Doctorate- Any Doctorate - Any Specialization, Doctorate Not Required)

Qualifications & experience required:

- Degree / Masters degree in Mechanical / Instrumentation Engineering

- 15 to 20 years of experience in steam related products / steam solutions / energy audits / improvement programs etc.

- Person should have handled products like steam traps, all types of valves including control valves, safety valves etc., flow meters & all types of components that are fitted on to a steam boiler, condensate management systems, heat exchanger packages etc.

- Hands on experience in process plants in handling boilers / energy improvement initiatives etc. will be an added advantage.
