Looking to hire Head Engineering for a leading Power company in Delhi NCR, Qualification-B Tech Electrical, Exp 15+yrs

Job Responsibility

- Manage the overall engineering of all Solar plants and provide all support to the Projects team to ensure timely and quality completion of projects within budget

- Drive procurement for key components in all Solar plants through effective contracting, vendor management and relationship building

- Drive the contracting through rigorous RFP process, definition of detailed technical specifications, preparing various packages.

- Drive the detail engineering design and drawings and generation, review and approval of all the technical documents. Report and Resolve any problems/issues to the Engineering/Project Management department

Extend support to the Business Development team during the BD efforts for new business, Tenders or any other initiatives taken by company.

- Support to Finance and Business Development team during the pre-bid stage for the financial analysis of the project during development stage, due diligence stage during financial closure.

- Evaluate new technologies and adopt the same to optimize the project cost challenges. Have up to date information about the changes in the industry and products on Technical and commercial matters.

- Overall management and development of the team for planning of the works and guide and supervise the design and Engineering team on a day to day basis to ensure that the project targets and goals are met.

- Partner with the Projects team to address technical problems at the site, pre- construction, during construction and once the site is operational Coordinate the technical matters amongst various Contractors and ensure that the designs are completed as per the project schedule and in accordance with the provisions of the Contracts.

- Oversee the research and development of new products and procedures.

- Hire, train, and mentor other engineers and supporting staff.

- Write performance reviews and solve internal issues.

- Discuss and layout project specifications.

- Make detailed plans to accomplish goals.

- Analyze market demand and available resources.

- Review, approve, or modify product designs.

- Prepare budgets, bids, and contracts.

- Negotiate research contracts.

- Approve expenditures.

- Review and recommend contracts.

- Develop cost estimates.

- Draft proposals and reports for clients.

- Improve manufacturing processes and advance scientific research.

- Develop overall concepts for a new product.

- Check technical accuracy of work.

- Establish administrative policies, procedures, and standards.

- Coordinate activities of unit with other units or organizations.

- Confer with higher levels of management.
