Head/Director - Strategy & New Initiatives - IIT/IIM/ISB/US Ivy (8-15 yrs)
Title: Head/Director, Strategy & New Initiatives
Organization: A large diversified global MNC with presence in over 60+ countries, and revenues in excess of USD30B
Responsible to: CEO
Responsible for: Strategy development, Annual and operational planning, fund raising, management of special projects and other corporate initiatives
Role: The Director of Strategy and Development is a member of the Senior Leadership Team and reports to the Chief Executive.
Responsibilities: We're looking for an exceptional candidate who has can handle the complete strategy function, including handling a small team (5-6) who are qualified professionals from Ivy league B-Schools.
Illustrative key responsibilities:
- Planning and implementation, and ownership of strategic business growth and expansion initiatives across India and wider APAC
- Formulating, leading and driving strategic business and operational improvement projects (cost reduction & revenue enhancement)
- Manage high impact strategic projects
- Delivering strategic thinking and presentations on business, market, opportunities, and project on a regular basis to key stakeholders
- Creating, designing and implementing mid-range business and operational plans, and forecasts
- Identification of partner alliances, evaluation, negotiation, and implementation
- Tracking of business performance and analyzing impacts on the business
Candidate qualifications and skill-sets:
- BE/ BTech and MBA from a premier Tier 1 institute such as IIT/IIM/ ISB/US-Ivy Leagues
- 8-12 years of experience in strategy consulting with Tier 1 consulting companies (BCG, McK, ATK etc.) and/or handling strategy function in a large business group
- Financial modelling, commercial and business acumen
- Ability to connect with CXOs and senior leaders at a global level
- Excellent communication skills
