Job Title - Head – Direct Tax

Reports to - Head of Taxation and Accounts

Location - Mumbai

Company - Pharma Major

No of direct subordinates: 2

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience:

- CA with Minimum 6 years’ post qualification experience in Direct taxation

Skills and knowledge required for the position include

- Knowledge of Direct Tax and International Tax

- A thorough understanding of accounting systems and practice

- An understanding of the requirements of an effective internal controls environment

- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and clearly with all levels within the organisation.

- Representation in front of the Appellate

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY

Responsible for Direct Tax and Compliance Reporting for the entities assigned

Oversee the tax function (in liaison with consultants) to ensure that “The Company” satisfies its tax obligations on a timely basis. This includes but not limited to the following:

- Ensure timely recording and payment of all withholding taxes, TCS, filing of Quarterly returns, Issue of TDS certificates

- Timely Advance tax payment every Quarter, Quarterly P & L for advance tax workings

- Co-ordination and preparation for Income Tax Assessment , CIT ,ITAT Appeal Process with the help of Consultants

- Transfer Pricing
